I suspect many writers and readers on Substack.com can remember the sixties and the anti-war protests. I was young and idealistic and imagined that because all of my friends felt like I did, certainly voters would support Eugene McCarthy and the war would end.
The brutality of the police at the 1968 Democratic convention and the nation's reaction against the revolutionaries and hippies was eye-opening.
Truly, if there was ever a time for a revolution, it is now. Still, those memories linger and the fascist Obama/Biden regime may be just a tiny part of the New World Order.
That being said, the fact that the leak of Alito's opinion to Politico did not lead to more violence is a good sign. It may be that the public has had its fill of Biden's lies, Kamala's incompetence, the Gestapo-like FBI, CIA, Justice Department, and the NIH.
Having been one of those hippies at the '68 Dem convention and having been the recipient of a wood shampoo and copious tear gas, I concur with your thoughts. I, like many of my contemporaries, were as you described. Happily I was cured of the false idealism early, and in time to cast my vote for Nixon in '72.
We have lived through many crises, both real and manufactured, but this one is not only real, it has been building for decades.
Unleash the dogs of war; to Michael's point. No quarter....#Enough

Despite the violence, I understand that Country Joe and the Fish put on a good show!
