You just said what many of us are saying/thinking. The Republican party is a bad joke. When you look at the Senate, there aren't ten Republicans worth the powder to blow them to hell (not threatening, by the way). The Democrats hate Trump with a passion, but not any more than Rand (glad he got his ass kicked) Paul. What a petty piece of garbage. In his guise of "free thinker" all he really provides is another Democrat vote. And the "R" party is full of them. I've been told that the Republicans desperately want to be the minority party - they don't know how, nor do they have the courage, to govern. Easier to complain that to fix problems. With any luck the Republicans (in name only) will keep the house and senate so Trump can get some more work done. Other than that they're useless.

The death of at least one party as a viable entity but really both is what we must hope for. But that would require voters that don't just vote the party with all the thought that zombies exhibit. Zombie voters sustain zombie parties.

The solution in the Brad Pitt movie was the zombies didn't touch the sickly. The Republicans are full of sickly and the Democrats are devouring them. The vaccine of common sense isn't working either. We need people, leaders and voters, to have a double-dose of common sense and the courage to use it.

OK. so how fo we get that. This thead is full of people blabbing about "what we need, but entirely bereft of any practical, realistic, strategies/tactics for achieving those needs and goals. Face it, we're just like our RINOS - full of sound and fury, but signifying nothing. I mean fer crying out loud, some guy elsewhere in this thread is so timid he felt it necessary, after using the cliched "not worth the powder to blow them to hell," that he really didn’t mean to actually blow anybody to hell. Polite, timid revolutionaries don't make successful revolutions.

Our Founders and Framers would laugh themselves sick at the sight of us. They slaughtered their enemies, painted the walls with their blood, drove them out of our country and, yeah, blew them to hell.

You don't win battles, let alone wars, by asking permission.

Trump was a lifelong democrat until recently so he knows how to fight them.

The Republicans are behind the curve for one simple reason - They haven't delivered the prime directives Trump campaigned on. Apparently Congress can't walk and chew gum at the same time; the Dems have swallowed them up in procedural nonsense and they've wandered about aimlessly because the "Majority Leader" hasn't actually led them anywhere. In short, the Republicans have no idea how to actually govern the country.

I am so with you about this failure of most Republicans to support our most honorable President Trump!!! It's the hardest thing in the world to watch when you personally see the exceptional ism in President Trump! Thank you for speaking your truth!

Absolutely pitiful. And yet America time and time again re-elects these lunatics. It’s sad to know that certain people know better, but could care less how badly they’re being misled. Usually just after the hand is off their Marxist bible. Listening to them vomit lies concerning morality while successfully running states into the ground. Democrats have learned that telling a small lie just doesn’t work anymore. The larger lie is much more effective. Hitler used this effectively in the 1930s. And of course the media does their part in manipulating the despicable words. The hate and vitriol seems to have no depths out of reach.

An added benefit is the fact that most blue states are so deep in debt that after the population flees the leadership actually begs people to come back to be taxed to death. It’s hard to imagine a sane population not screaming in agony each time they open their wallets.

Without a doubt this country is in deep do do. Each time a segment of mentally unstable population believes democrats are the answer to real democracy, the country dives deeper into the manure.

Trump is a common-sense thinker. I was once a Dem --like him, living in NYC. Leaving NYC was instrumental in my "thinking for myself" as was my tendency anyway.

Republicans --even those that are not in the GOP--are all over the place (including isolationists/Libertarians). I see proof of their mentality on FB--daily. Many don't favor Vance BTW. I don't either--and prefer Rubio for 2028.

But I find myself now in this Party without unity. Whereas the Dems ALWAYS "stick together" --not ONLY in the DNC (except for Fetterman)--but the VOTERS themselves. It's a certain TYPE of personality that becomes/or stays as-- a "Democrat" today.

Many in the GOP like McConnell, Massie, Murkowski, Paul, and Tillis are examples of what I'm talking about. I'm sure you can add more.

I too can't fathom that a Party with such poor policies could win ANYTHING. It seems preposterous. And yet--the Dems could win the midterms.

But psychologically--they know how. AND they have the Legacy media, and poorly informed public.

Preach! Or, rather, Rant! It's getting downright scary. Did everybody see JB Pritzker say the quiet part out loud, about jailing as many people in this administration as possible for crimes they make up (okay, I'm paraphrasing, but not by much)?

I really like both Vance and Rubio, but I think we might need Stephen Miller for POTUS after Trump.

Sherrie Mathieson's avatar

I like Rubio. And I hope Miller is ALWAYS in the administration.

ThurmanLady's avatar

I was (mostly) kidding about Miller, of course, but if we want someone to say the good quiet things out loud, he'd be the man.
