The Republicans could run a ham sandwich against Biden and win in a landslide. Sadly, that fact means our primary will look like an audition for ham sandwiches. The "debate stages" will be choked with the top 15, thus diminishing the caliber of all. We need a process to wean out the cast of thousands who will apply. Let Trump pick the top 5.
I agree with everything you said above. I would also add that President Trump's age should be considered against a 2024 run. My personal opinion is that no one should be in any public office or role after the age of 75. President Trump will be 78 in 2024.

Rich Strike won the Kentucky Derby after sinking back to 13th place. He was only able to get in the race because another horse was scratched.
DeSantis is a remarkable leader and a successful governor; but I think the GOP needs a leader like Chancey Gardener, a man without ego or prejudice, a man that exudes nothing but love and compassion. If someone like that exists, he hasn't been presented to us by the news media.
At this point, it is much like guessing how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. It is likely the USA will become subservient to the United Nations and the New World Order will be fully in charge before November, 2022.
Or there will be a 3rd World War that will throw everything into the giant Kitchenaid 6500 mixer of the universe and whoever happens to be POTUS at the time will be re-elected. Such is the mentality of the American voter.
