Why Russia?

The left is ready to enter WWIII against Russia. Why did they turn on a natural ally?

I’m fascinated how fast the American left goes from anti-war zealots into war hawks when the “right” enemy is chosen.

I have been pulling at a string to figure out why they were against going after terrorists, to the point of coddling and even releasing them from GITMO after they were captured on the battlefield and calling al Baghdadi an “austere religious scholar” after he was extinguished, or why they freaked out over Trump droning Soleimani’s flea-ridden bearded ass.

Why would it be that all of a sudden, they are all in for fighting Russians, one of the few countries with nukes?

I mean, there was a time when the Russkies were Soviets, the American left shared a kinship with them. Teddy Kennedy, the “Lion of the Senate” and a proven date drowner, gave the Kremlin a call to see if they would help keep Ronald Reagan out of office. I guess Ronaldus Magnus was a “threat to democracy” even back then.

Too, Putin allegedly wants to drive Nazis out of Ukraine, and the left hates Nazis, so opposing someone who wants to kill Nazis is sort of a mystery.

There are three components to why the leftists are all in on going to war with their own tribe.

First, they never accept something as real unless it is in the pages of the New York Times. Obama never had a scandal because the Times never reported on one. There is no such thing as cancel culture or the culture wars because the Times doesn’t report it. Hillary wasn’t guilty of mishandling information because the Times said not to worry about it. Ukraine isn’t corrupt, says the sages at the Times; therefore, the Times has put its stamp of approval on the Russians as appropriate enemies.

The appeal to authority may be a fallacy for people who understand logic, but not for the left. If it is the right authority, it’s a must-have before they act.

The second component is that Russia allegedly helped Trump get elected. They hate Trump enough that this allegation, unproven after three years of investigations and seven years of the New York Times trying to make it true, is reason enough to go to war. Bastards should have known better.

But the final, and the perhaps the most important thing, is race. If there I one thing that drives the left in America today, it is race. Terrorists are people of color, therefore, they are simply unemployed, uneducated and just don’t know any better. What is worse, is that they are third world people of color, and we all know that POC’s from third world countries have always been impacted by Western colonialism and white supremacy. It’s just not fair to fight people like that, for Allah’s sake, they had so few resources, they couldn’t afford bombs and had to steal planes to fly into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Who fights poor, ignorant POC’s like that?

But Russians are white, some are literally Caucasians, so they are on the approved list with whom to go to war.

And I’m only kidding a little.
