You are articulating very nicely the fundamental difference between Democratic and Republican motivation. The Democrats respond to knee-jerk emotional impulse while Republicans tend to thing things through. It's an ancient and fundamental, human division between thinkers and emoters. The emoters are used and manipulated through their thoughtless impulses and if allowed to run free they will destroy the country. They periodically destroy private businesses.
