I’ve noticed recently lying has evolved. A year or so ago their lies were lies but they had a patina of plausibility. The ‘95% effective’ lie, for example. Now they just say whatever they want despite it being absurd. Completely straight-faced. And about stuff even their supporters know are lies. ‘No inflation’ nonsense. Anyone who ever pays for groceries or gas or anything else knows that’s not true. Democrat or Republican. They have entered a new phase of dictatorial power, along the lines of a Kim Jong of Korea.
The so-called Fact Checkers are as free of Marxist doctrine as the racist anti-American professors and administrators at Ivy League universities.
I'll never forget Snopes.com saying that it was unequivocally FALSE that Obama gave the Wuhan lab $18 million dollars for their gain-of-function experiments. A later entry by Snopes said that the claim that Obama gave the lab $17 million dollars was Partly True because $700,000 was left for the Trump administration to pay off.
Incidentally, POTUS 45 opted out of the agreement.
Democrats are pushing to slide the Overton Window from "I know what is true" to "I don't know what is true" to "I don't care what is true". It's at this last step where the "fact checkers" will have exhausted their usefulness.
