There Are Two Americas
Of course, we know America is split politically, but the Biden era has revealed a moral split, a wound that seems impossible to heal.
If you ever doubted the soulless media has become the enemy of the people, their reaction to the movie, The Sound of Freedom, should remove all doubt.
The horrific takes of the leftist media to a movie that raises the awareness of something we all should be able to agree is evil, child trafficking, are astounding and gut wrenching. We have come to expect such things, but this time, they are so pointed and wrong, it goes beyond the usual hatred.
Viewed in context, the reviews have less to do with child trafficking and more to do with who is behind the movie. Conservative Christian money and effort brought this movie to live after Disney essentially embargoed it for nearly a decade. That the leftists will try to destroy this movie by calling it a QAnon based conspiracy theory is prima facie evidence of the evil with which we are engaged.
Compare these two Guardian headlines and subheads, the first from 2018 and the second from last Friday:
Child sex trafficking rife in Colombia's picturesque Cartagena
The historic city is cracking down on an industry that targets children and young women from poor neighbourhoods
Sound of Freedom: the QAnon-adjacent thriller seducing America
Jim Caviezel stars as a hero trying to stop child traffickers in a paranoid new movie turning into a surprise box-office hit
In 2018, child trafficking in Colombia was a problem, in 2023, it is a QAnon conspiracy theory.
Hypocrisy so brazen, it is unbelievable, isn’t it?
In 2004, the then Democratic pick for Vice President, John “Silky Pony” Edwards, spoke of two Americas:
I stand here tonight ready to work with you and John to make America stronger. And we have much work to do, because the truth is, we still live in a country where there are two different Americas…one, for all of those people who have lived the American dream and don’t have to worry, and another for most Americans, everybody else who struggle to make ends meet every single day. It doesn’t have to be that way.
Well, the philandering, serial lying baby daddy had a point – there are two Americas. We are split so evenly between these two that the last five presidential elections prior to 2020 have been determined by a very small percentage of the vote in a select few counties in states with critical electoral votes - and no matter what people believe about the 2020 election, it was an anomaly, both statistically and procedurally. There are still questions about how a record turnout was achieved and how the dried up husk of a politician who ran a campaign from his basement garnered 81 million votes, millions more than Obama - or if any of it was real.
If you look at the county level maps, you can see there is a definite ideological split:
But since the Biden administration rose to power, what it has proven is that it isn’t just split politically, there is a moral split as well.
There are now two diametrically opposed moral systems in America. The left has jettisoned one based in Judeo-Christian tradition and adopted their own system rooted in power, relativism, sin and evil. It certainly seems the election of a “decent family man who unconditionally loves his son”, all while denying the existence of a granddaughter sired by that son, has released a horde of demons across this land.
I have other explanation for it.
There is the America that believes in God, self-reliance and hard work, the American dream, American exceptionalism, equal opportunity, secure borders, sovereignty, the sanctity of a baby’s life from conception, private property, the Second Amendment and an originalist reading of the Constitution - a small and limited state.
Then there is another America that is filled with secular humanists, believes in collectivism and government handouts, and believes that the American dream is dead (if it ever existed) and that America is inherently evil and imperialistic. They believe in equal outcomes, open borders, a nation subject to the whims of international governance, abortion, hypersexualization of children, transgenderism, racism, abolition of private property, no right to self-defense and a “living” Constitution that can be “interpreted” to create approval for the current political fad and in turn, an overweening and expansive state.
I can see no way that these two radically divided positions can ever be reconciled. The narrow division and fiercely contested elections that produce razor thin margins indicate that as long as these divisions exist, there is guaranteed an inherent tyranny of the majority. Winning or losing elections 52% – 48% gives neither winning party a governing “mandate” and renders any party line decision one on the edge of tyranny.
Party identification is no longer relevant; the divide is between classic liberalism tempered by Judeo-Christian tenets and so called “progressivism” energized by nothing less than Satanism.
By the end of the Age of Obama, we had lived through 16 years of divided rule and rancor, but that was nothing compared to the Biden reign.
A few years ago, I believed that amending the Constitution was the answer. I no longer believe that. I believe that the divisions are too deep and too painful. Since the current ruling class (and evidently over half of the country) think that my belief in God is believing a myth, that I must be forced by law to accept “alternative lifestyles” that I have been taught are evil, that killing a “clump of cells” that will grow in to a baby is a “right”, that I am a bigot because I want to stop illegal immigration, that I don’t believe I am a servant of government to be taxed so that my productivity can be given to others and my love of country is the equivalent to Nazi nationalism, I can see little other recourse. I don’t want a theocratic state - but my beliefs have been attacked to such a degree that I cannot live a life according to my own convictions and faithfully execute my duty to my God and my family.
I actually just want to be left alone to form the associations that I choose, support the people who deserve my support and not to bear ridicule for believing in the founding principles of this country - but the left wants to intervene. I don’t believe that these principles merely granted freedom, but true liberty. I believe the Constitution outlines the plans to execute the promise of liberty enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, which lay out the methods of protection of that liberty for every individual citizen of this country.
I don’t want to be told every day that I am an evil person because I oppose transgenderism for kids, illegal immigration, and I object to my tax money being wasted and used for things with which I disagree. I believe in working hard and playing by the rules – but I’m also not ignorant enough to blindly believe that all the rules are just.
I am not an anarchist, I do not believe in no government – but I do believe in clearly limited government, a government that does not presume to dictate to me and infiltrate every single aspect of my life…and do not be fooled, today we are licensed, taxed, monitored and managed from cradle to grave. There is a hegemony of sorts that dominates individual conduct. We are living the worst of 1984 and Brave New World combined.
In a sense, Marx was right – freedom is an illusion – but not because it is a fairy tale, because we have allowed far too much government for far too long. We have allowed collective government fiat to replace individual common sense, common courtesy, faith, trust, honor and duty.
A while back secession was all the rage. Maybe that is the answer - or maybe the answer is just to create massive city-states where progressives can pursue their Utopian dreams and leave the rest of us alone.
Or maybe the answer is the worst possible choice - another civil war.
A moral split may only be rectified by destroying one side or the other.
Sooner or later, something must give.
The howls of secular socialist rage against “the Sound of Freedom” shows that it has touched the most sensitive chord of what passes for their souls: the desire to exterminate humankind. Everything they are doing centers around eliminating as many human lives as possible: promoting voluntary abortion and euthanasia eventually to be succeeded by involuntary abortions and involuntary euthanasia. Promoting “Sexodus” and creating an aversion to holy matrimony through economic oppression - do you think those unsustainable burdens of individual student loan debt are due simply to a lack of foresight? Encouraging both homosexuality and gender-bending (castrating little boys and spaying little girls) in our primary and secondary schools. And then promoting bizarre medical interventions that increase excess mortality while also causing sterility and “spontaneous miscarriages.” The end goal of all these policies is to end human reproduction and to accelerate human morbidity and mortality. The secular globalists exult in the sexual enslavement of children because virtually none of these enslaved children will ever live to become free and to have children if their own. How dare we want to end the child sex trafficking trade? WE DARE!
My “solution” will likely underwhelm readers. Rather than a radical one like civil war (which the leftists seem to desire as their chance to crush us completely) mine is incrementalist: We buckle down to obey God more completely. First off start having more babies! Obey the precept “be fruitful and multiply!” The progressives are progressively annihilating themselves by opting out of procreation to lead dreadfully self-centered lonely lives. Second “raise a child in the right way and the adult will not depart from it.” Whether home schooling or by charter schools teach them the love and fear of God and keep them out of hands of the evil fended benders. “When a man’s ways please the Lord He will make even his enemies be at peace with him.” If we are trying to win the holy war against the secular socialists on their terms of course they will prevail. But if we knuckle down on practicing true spirituality then the victory is the Lord’s. But of course use all our wits and strengths to oppose the seeming Goliaths of globalism.
