It does appear we have traveled down a road where there are no turn-around points and we have to travel and follow it through to the end. I hope it ends well.

Unfortunately, your last sentence sounds like it needs to apply to a lot of things, not just our legal system.

I knew this 22 years ago when I decided to leave the legal "profession." Even though judgeships were technically non-partisan, the candidates still had to raise $$ for their campaign.

The way they did this was to be supported by one of the political parties. I was in IL at the time so the Dems were firmly in control. Once a judge got elected with their support, the judges were obligated to do that which the Democrats wanted. Of course, no one would ever admit to this process.

It's one of the reasons the legal profession is so protective of its' members. I got tired of dealing with judges and attorneys who did whatever suited them, not what the law actually said. I couldn't explain to a client that the court ruled against them not based on the law, but, rather because the judge was aligned with the other side.

Ugh. I don't miss it one iota.

It's sad the disease has overtaken the host.

Shakespeare was demonstrating the importance of attorneys in maintaining the fabric of society when he wrote "first, let's kill all the lawyers." Pity so many attorneys today have become destroyers of our society. Time for a change.

I agree with Donald Sensing. I've been saying we're on the highway to hell, pedal to the metal, and have passed the last known exit, for close to a year. Every day I think it can't get worse, it does..

We now have two States saying it's no longer required for a would be attorney to pass the bar exam. Looking at some prominent attorneys, we may conclude that it's not a valid test: Biden, Willis, Smith, Jack Smith, and others.

The judicial system is very shaky based on the focused attempt to destroy Trump.

Then we have a SCOTUS Justice who, while most would agree "she" is one, can't define what is a woman and now she says that the First Amendment may be too restrictive on the government to combat "misinformation"!!!

Your essay, Michael, is on point.

I'll stop here because I have insufficient pixels to say all I could :)

Keep on throwing your great truth bombs. The House of Lies needs to be destroyed.
