Teddy Powell is a church friend of mine and was put up for the special election - we're very disappointed of course, but there was only 14.5% turnout - and you know WHO was motivated to show up and "send a message". I wouldn't impute too much meaning to this. It was a VERY isolated case in a district that's gone 52-45 Republican in previous (normal) elections.

Maybe. But before I believe everybody in Alabama got suckered in, I'd really like to know who counted the votes.

As usual the extremes determine the middle and the Stoopid party needs to understand that most of the US is like most of the Western world where aborting babies by ripping large limbs and a head from a torso that has a beating heart is repulsive when the baby is viable and close to delivery. That is under 20 weeks in most of Europe. While a fertilized egg may be the start of a "life" it is not something that remotely resembles a human. I suspect you will find a lot of money from Democrats supporting both extremes to get Democrats elected. Just as we saw hundreds of thousands of Democrats voting in Republican primaries for weak candidates.
