Is there any process to revoke a state's statehood? To rescind their admittance?

If only there were. None have turned up in my research. That's why I wrote the piece on federal supervision. There really isn't a process in the Constitution to kick them out, split them up or dissolve them.

I guess there's a first time for everything...

Does there need to be a process? Why not just stop giving permission and, importantly, money, to the entities that have decided the Constitution, the shared legal values are no longer viable? The financial river that flows from DC to even local counties and towns is ginormous, and if stopped, will likely compel (IMO) a taking of stock by our fellow travelers to ask whether that new norm works for them or is it time to get rid of those who brought them misery. What is transpiring is not resolvable with niceties like a process.

Mini-states abound as well. Consider Montgomery County, Maryland. I get local news blurbs. Today it contained: The Montgomery County Council will meet Tuesday, Jan. 13, beginning with proclamations recognizing Muslim American Heritage Month and Korean American Day. BTW, the council is 100% Democrat.

Akin to the Gov in NYS ordering that the tower that replaced the World Trade Center be lighted in green, the islamic sacred color, to recognize the same. Never forget, has been forgotten.

It seems that the outcome of the midterm elections will educate us all. I pray for the United States.
