Eric Cline's 1188 BC - the Year Civilization Ended is a tough read because it refers to people like the Assyrians and nations that no longer exist. Nonetheless, this weighty tome offers a clear explanation of why the Bronze Age ended. Those ancient civilizations counted on globalism to provide for their needs. When an earthquake, volcano, drought, or invasion affected one country, it affected them all.

As we all know, all of our drugs are manufactured in China and it would be a simple decision (like Russia's decision this week to stop exporting oil to the USA) to make prescribed medicines unavailable in the 4th Reich.

It may be said that Madelyn Murray O'Hare started the demise of our nation and that the murder of JFK by the CIA was the second strike. LBJ's ill-conceived war against Vietnam (which went hand-in-hand with the worldwide transport of heroin by the CIA) was the third strike against decency and we are only seeing the slow crumbling of our once-great nation ever since.

Tyler’s “8 stages of Democracy” rings more and more true. That San Franciscans do not toss their leaders, who have created a dumpster out of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, is evidence of your theory. We’ve become anesthetized to the decline, the shortages, and the high cost of everything.

Well written and it reminds me of a piece I read years ago comparing the collapse of the Roman Empire to what is happening in our country-the same conclusion was made-we are more than likely on the downside of our “greatness” and closer to a collapse than we realize. I am just glad I am at the end of my life rather than the beginning. I feel terrible for the generations that follow the Baby Boomer generation.

I read unrestricted warfare . it was published in 1999. it is the CCP plan , written by tccp army officers tor the brass about how to attack America with unconventional means . political subterfuge , bribery of educational intuitions , media influence through joint ventures , and destruction of America's manufacturing ability via offshoring . now consider : After having sent the vast majority of its supply of artillery shells, drones, anti-tank systems and now even artillery pieces to Ukraine, the United States of America has very little left to defend itself against an invasion force from an enemy nation like China. Granted, the Pacific Ocean is a large moat, but given advances in the scale and efficiency of maritime transportation, it’s no longer the formidable chasm it was in World War II. China has the capability. looks like it will be getting a LOT uglier over time

Comments while thinking of this post.

1. We live in California and recently visited Tennessee where the city we visited has nuclear power and is a "red" state. Yet we experienced a rolling blackout for almost two hours when the temperature dropped to 10 degrees in Tennessee.

I couldn't help but laugh coming from a "blue" state known for its rolling blackouts and turning off nuclear power that in a Red state with Nuclear power we had a rolling blackout. The point being that Yes it all has to come down because it doesn't matter, the politicians of both parties are freaking idiots.
