Just a couple of thoughts.
Do you think it might be possible that J. Castrato Trudeau just might have just been influenced (frightened) and then emboldened by the hyperbolic, hysterical rhetoric about the J6 "insurrection" that was, and still is, being spewed by American Democrats and their enablers in the left-wing media?
Do you think he might have looked at how unfairly American law is being applied to the J6 protesters and thought, “I’m good, look at what America is doing.”
How many times in your lifetime have you ever seen a Canadian leader take the lead on something like this? I can't remember a time that sticks out in my mind.
Maybe it is coming from other members of the British Commonwealth - perhaps Australia and/or New Zealand, especially since these two have cracked down on the liberty of their people in ways unprecedented in modern times.
But due to proximity and the power of cultural influence, Canada, except for Quebec (which takes its lead from the EU), is America Lite, more like the US than their brothers and sisters in the Commonwealth, mostly taking their cues from the Lower 48.
When stripped of all the legal trappings, the aggression coming out of the Trudeau government is based on the same "how dare they" fear we heard/hear in the voices of Pelosi, Schumer, AOC (who wasn't even close to the riot at the Capitol), the "squad", the turncoats in the GOP, and the paid liars at CNN, MSNBC, the WaPo and the NYT.
These are people so deluded, when the say the word "democracy", they are talking about themselves (because they believe themselves to be "democracy". When they screech about "the death of democracy", what they really mean is the end of their power.
These people wouldn’t know democracy if it walked up to them an slapped them in the face with a dead fish.
Trudeau’s cadre even immediately went to the same page as the American left in the playbook – right out of the gate, they claimed their opposition weren’t really humans, they were racists, bigots and Hitler-loving Nazis, the veritable personification of evil, and the mere presence of their trucks, bouncy houses, gas grills, kids, dogs, and impromptu dance parties were a direct terrorist threat to every freedom loving Canadian.
How dare these people sully the Canadian flag as they shout the white supremacy rallying cry of “Freedom!”
What a bunch of hosers these Trudeauists are, eh?
They, like their authoritarian collectivist friends in the US, fear the end of their power far more than they fear the end of any “democracy” (it is always a sure giveaway that such things are really not about “saving democracy” when government officials use anti-democratic tactics to “save” democracy).
The big difference in Canada is that Trudeau and his minions do not have a Bill of Rights (with a Second Amendment) that stands in their way.
Of course, that doesn't mean our American ruling class won't give it a go, especially if we get too rowdy. They are already trampling all over the First Amendment - but if you think for a minute the Second Amendment isn't a primary reason they haven't just ignored the entire first 10 amendments, you need to think again.
The situations in Australia, New Zealand and now in Canada, are salient examples of just how unique and different the governance of America under our Constitution truly is, and why the care and maintenance of it is so, so critically important.
Because if you think for a minute, the current elected leadership and their allies in the Deep State aren’t thinking “Je suis Trudeau!”, you are entirely mistaken. If the had a slogan, this would be it.
The Canadian protesters are not the enemies of democracy, they are the real democracy.
The Canadian national anthem begins:
O Canada! our home and native land!
True patriot-love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
And stand on guard, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
The current government in Ottawa is betraying those words in the same way our American government, under the Democrat Party, is betraying the words in our American National Anthem.
Both must be stopped before they destroy liberty for centuries.
Problem is, most Canadians don't care. The majority are perfectly fine with the takedown of the truckers and anyone who supported them.
I have a half sister (who primarily works out of Prague) married to a Czech who is an air traffic controller based in Toronto. She's about as left as they get (totalitarian left), and I use her as a gauge of what the loonies are thinking. And her view is that it took WAY too long to shut down those Insurrectionists/Fascist Truckers. She's perfectly fine with the government seizing everything they and their families own and leaving them destitute.
I couldn’t agree more, Mike! Well said. The time is coming when we, too, will be tested to see if we’ll stand against tyranny and for freedom!
