Contrary to what "fact checkers" say, the Biden administration is about to cede US authority to the WHO without notification, any Congressional oversight or a single vote from an American citizen.
I remember after 9/11 with the passing of the Patriot Act, which I supported then, all the Dems were saying "slippery slope!" and how it would be abused to violate individual American's rights. I took strong assurance from the existence of the FISA court and independent judges who would oversee the law's execution and - I thought - would prevent such imagined abuse. I had no idea the monstrous authority of the Deep State this would unleash and could not have imagined how it would be weaponized against a sitting US president and his administration. If you had told me then, I would have labeled you a kook and conspiracy theorist - reading too much John le Carré or James Patterson.
What I've come to realize is that bad people - many of today's Democrats and unfortunately some Republicans even, will weaponize anything they can to gain political advantage. If you can imagine it happening, then it will happen. This isn't a "slippery slope" argument - it's a "law of gravity" argument. It's inevitable.
