As usual, right on target.

I stopped watching the corporate-media "news" in 2003. 23 years later, I've never looked back. Unless we can get others to do the same, we are lost: "You are Drowning in an Ocean of Lies": https://daveziffer.substack.com/p/you-are-drowning-in-an-ocean-of-lies

I just discovered this incredible video, which does a much more thorough job than me in discussing the lies of the corporate (“mainstream”) media. PLEASE WATCH this piece by Amelia Carter, who masterfully exposes the media fabrications against Trump. It’s simply astounding: "The 10-Year Smear: How the Truth Changed My Mind About Trump": https://youtu.be/AoO5UfGQoOU

I have to point out that it was the left’s ready embrace of so-called “critical theory” (in reality nihilistic deconstructionism compounded with moral relativism) that enabled this transition from frankly evil speech to actual murder (along with bystanders’ obscene applause for such murders and murderers). Conservatives, on the whole, by contrast remain morally grounded because they always saw through the falsity of post-modernism. Unfortunately few of us foresaw how evil words would directly lead to enacted evil: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21

Thank you, sir.

I also perceive this as a lack of critical, independent thinking in what has been, and is slowly becoming, an ever more reliant and subordinate citizenship.

The solution is to educate, empower and enlighten the American citizen, and this article does just that.

I wonder sometimes if the left will actually wake up after they burn the country to the ground. If they could really see the damage they have done to this republic. And I honestly don’t believe they are capable of reasonable thought. One thing for sure is they will be the ones who are going to be hurt the most by the dissolution of these United States. Because eventually the right will respond.

Plenty of Americans supported the WWII internment of ethnic-Japanese Americans. Don't pretend that this is something unique to contemporary Democrats - it can afflict us all.

Were they exterminated? I find it reprehensible what FDR did, but to equate the two is a fallacy.

Rather Curmudgeonly's avatar

Well, the level of enmity towards Asians on the U.S. west coast never rose to the level of European antisemitism (so much of which was church approved for centuries).

May I point out that the Japanese-American internment occurred under the reign of an actual king, FDR?

The people of Gallup, NM refused to turn over their residents who were of Japanese descent. And that is how we ended up with a young man who enlisted toward the end of WW2, went to Germany as part of the occupation, then re-enlisted in the Army reserve, served in Korea, and was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Don't overlook the role of Earl Warren, then the Republican governor of California in those efforts; or the prejudice embodied in the 1913 California state law forbidding Japanese (and other) immigrants from owning land (sponsored by Republicans and signed by the Republican governor).

Alan Gideon's avatar

Noted. Thank you. The California law should have had a relief clause for naturalized citizens, as should the federal internment law.

No worries. I made this whole point because it doesn't just demonize Democrats - which was Mr. Smith's obvious intent.

what isn’t discussed is what the belief system of those hearts is founded on.

our founders deigned the constitution requires a …”a moral people who are endowed by their creator natural rights”

the modern left believes THEY by way of government ARE THAT “ creator”.
