I am a huge fan of movies from the thirties and forties. The belief in God (specifically belief in Jesus and YHWH) was a universal theme in even the darkest of noir mysteries. In 2022, with Hollywood marketing its films for its Chinese audience, there is never a reference to god or to church (with the very rare exception of the recent collaboration of Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg). The WOKE culture, decried by president Macron of France, is destroying Western societies. The belief in nothing but yourself and material goods has weakened Amerika to the point that it has no faith, no hope, no history, and no social conventions. Society, as we have known it for more than two centuries, began to crumble with Madelyn Murray O'Hare.

I had never heard of it, and it actually (from the way you describe it here) refers to the area in which I live. which is just north of the Ohio River. I agree completely with your statements here, because without God in our lives, life itself has no meaning. It is staggering that only 81% of Americans believe that He exists.
