Don't Get Mad

Chill, your anger is wasted on Democrats.

I used to get angry at the Demtwits on Twitter/X - or anywhere on social media - for all the ridiculous things they say about Trump and the GOP.

A piece of well considered advice - if you do too, just don't.

It's just such a complete waste of your valuable time.

Save your anger for shrinkflation, narrow middle seats on the airplanes, service charges on concert tickets or the weather.

You have about as much chance to change any of the aforementioned things as getting a Democrat to stop calling you, your party and your candidates disgusting names or claiming they did (or will do) terrible, unforgivable things.

One thing I have learned in my 65 years on this blue green orb is that it doesn't matter who the GOP nominee or president is, in their minds, the current person is always going to be a literal Hitler and totally so much worse than the last guy that they can't believe we nominated him or her.

They are going to call any Republican those same names (and worse), just as they have since Barry Goldwater was called a racist by the New Yorker in 1964.

Yet in 60 (yes, that’s six-0) years of name calling and not a single GOP president has been a fascist, a tyrant, a racist or a Nazi.

In every case the Democrats always gain a strange new respect for every former GOP candidate or president (because they need to unfavorably compare the new guy to the old one).

Take the case of Willard “Massachusetts Mitt” Romney for instance.

Milquetoast Mitt literally gave a woman cancer, caused a gay kid to commit suicide, kept women in binders and drove cross country with the family dog strapped to the top of the Vista Cruiser. Biden said Mitt was going to put black Americans back in chains.

But since Pierre Delecto cast the lone Republican vote to convict Trump in the first of two malicious impeachments, they love him now. No more Nazi, all the crimes against humanity are forgiven.

It only means that it is all rhetorical bullshit. The name calling is just empty and meaningless rhetoric.

It is just something they do to assuage their fears and to make themselves feel better about themselves and to make their friends in the Democrat Party swoon over how stunning and brave they are for "speaking truth to power". They are helping!

Too bad it is nothing more than a childish coping mechanism for immature people who feel instead of think.
