We are long past the time of congeniality in politics. DeSantis is getting it just right now - pick a target, destroy it QUICKLY, and while they're plotting how to get back at you, move on to the next target and hit it like a ton of bricks. And don't stop. This is the Democrats' tactics turned against them. It needs to be the playbook for the incoming Congress.

My dad always said it didn’t matter much who was elected...the results would be similar. I disagreed...but the older I get, sadly the more I agree 😔 I will say there is a handful of politicians & others who are trying to warn Americans about the effort to smother individualism and our constitution. Maybe there’s hope 🤔

Excellent as always, but for God's sake why "President Trump, for all his obvious faults"? No Democrat will ever say such a thing about one of their own. It's not worth conceding. Nothing in his public conduct was unprecedented. He did not diddle interns, pick up beagles by the ears, conduct press conferences on the toilet, and he actually *liked* the country and its people -- which shows just what a low bar that is to clear.

Isn't our habit of conceding such things just a few degrees removed from curling up in a ball and talking of "principles" whilst abandoning the field to the enemy in typical GOP fashion?

Well, Trump has obvious faults, to acknowledge that doesn't diminish the point, it merely takes that "what about" argument off the table.
