Exactly. I supported Trump when he rode down the escalator but, what seemed to me, his main deal was stopping the flow while others, younger, could and WOULD correct. I'm sure he felt, given Executive support and direction, Congress would finally start to work again. Now we see Republicans bailing on terms when the really hard work appears to be ahead. Shame on them...

We've passed bailing water out of a sinking ship. We're at the point of trying to pull the darned thing from close to the bottom of the lake to see if we can repair her.

We'll see how many show up in November to ensure the work can be done. It's going to have to be an unprecedented number of living, actual voters turning out to overtake the corruption.

Other than the Bible, I understand that the biggest-selling book of all time was the one that gave us the phrase "What would Jesus do?" The book, I think was, _In His Steps_, published near the beginning of the 20th century, and called for people to discover biblical principles for living (i.e., what Jesus would do) and try their best to act according to these principles. I challenge several people who are better writers than I to write their own updated versions of that book, and further challenge the American people, beginning with Christians, to pursue whatever decisions they face with the intent to do what Jesus would do. Then--watch out!

I believe we are on the Highway to Hell, pedal to the metal, and have passed the last exit.

You are so right in this tragic analysis.
