Brain Popping Delusions
We are spilt into two Americas, one that accepts reality and one that denies it.
My head hurts.
I’m going to have to stay away from Twitter (I’m still not down with the “X” moniker) because it has just become a cesspool filed with leftist turd polishing and constant, outright lying. The paid shills lead the way (the idiot Gen Zer’s are the worst), but if it is humanly possible (and I’m sorry to tell you it is), the comments on those tweets are as deep in stupid as the Mariana Trench.
But not even the pressure at the bottom of the trench can crush this stupidity into diamonds.
Thanks to the media's slavish devotion to the Democrat Party, we are right on the edge of having a society bifurcated, not by social or economic status, but by the awareness of reality.
Spin is one thing, but we crossed the Rubicon on spin years ago. We know about spin. Spin is a mild form of propaganda; its effect is achieved through knowingly providing a biased interpretation of an event to influence public opinion about some person or some action.
Curve balls have spin, so do tennis balls, but what we are witnessing now is not spin. This is tossing something in a 60’s vintage, cast iron, four horsepower Waring Blender, running it through the puree cycle, then molding it into something completely different.
Democrats take the creation of an alternate reality to a whole new level. In short, the awareness and knowledge of the opposition's actions or positions must be at a record low in the Democrat Party. To them, we are not even real, we are just movie monsters. They literally know nothing about us or what and how we think.
During the post WWII technology boom, historians and philosophers were already warning that we would become the first society in the history of mankind with the power and tools to create alternate realities, and those “realities” might have little connection to true reality. They warned we might create a form of mass psychosis so strong that people would not be able to tell the difference.
Given what I’m seeing, there are a massive number of Democrats who do not know enough about Trump, Vance, or even us, to even take a few seconds to find out for themselves. They are not even curious in the least about whether something makes sense or not – or whether the people pulling the trigger on social media tweets and posts might just be motivated to lie.
They are living in an alternate reality created especially for them.
Joost A. M. Meerloo, a Dutch American MD and psychoanalyst I have quoted before, pointed out in his 1961 book, “The Rape of the Mind: The Psychology of Thought Control, Menticide, and Brainwashing”, it is eminently possible to induce mass delusions:
“If one can isolate the mass, allow no free thinking, no free exchange, no outside corrective, and can hypnotize the group daily with noises, with press and radio and television, with fear and pseudo-enthusiasms, any delusion can be instilled. People will begin to accept the most primitive and inappropriate acts.”
Therein lies one of the most significant dangers because there is a large segment of America who don’t want free exchange of ideas, they reject anything contrary to their own mental formulations.
Delusions cannot survive where free exercise of expression and association is practiced. Delusions can only be maintained if they are never challenged, for if they are, eventually the weight of contradictory evidence collapses the delusion.
Once instilled in the masses, delusions are hard to stop. Meerloo noted:
“Delusions, carefully implanted, are difficult to correct. Reasoning no longer has value; for the lower, more animal type of thinking becomes deaf to any thought on a higher level. If one reasons with a totalitarian who has been impregnated with official clichés, he will sooner or later withdraw into his fortress of collective totalitarian thinking. The mass delusion that gives him his feelings of belonging, of greatness, of omnipotence, is dearer to him than his personal awareness and understanding.”
A better description of a conversation with a contemporary Democrat, I have not found.
Doc Meerloo isn’t so sure the delusion’s hold on a mind can be broken.
But what happens if truth does overcome false reality?
I don’t know, but I can imagine it won’t be good.

Definitely where we are. Democrat brains cannot process facts,
"Given what I’m seeing, there are a massive number of Democrats who do not know enough about Trump, Vance, or even us, to even take a few seconds to find out for themselves. You are one of the few people who ask why these things are happening instead of just emoting about them. It is worth the inquiry. The people who ask questions instead of spewing dogma are the only possible solution to the current madness.
