It’s just another example of “their” precious democracy in action. To paraphrase a commenter on Disqus I used to interact with: “Social Justice isn’t justice in the same way that ginger ale isn’t ale and root beer isn’t beer. It lacks the essence of the latter term in pursuit of the former.”
The same can be said of “precious democracy.” It would be more accurate to just go ahead to the end game: one person, one vote, one time. It certainly isn’t a representative republic.
