I've been feeling this too. Some years ago (I think it was on the eve of the 2016 presidential election) I wrote a post on how--even though we seem to be fractured--we all want the same things: safe streets, good schools, less crime, etc. We just disagree on how to get there. These days, it feels like we actually DON'T all want the same things.

I get your thoughts. I get your feelings. Everything is freaking overwhelming. How can it not be? Get ready for whatever comes and it can be anything. I see a divorce coming. There is definitely two way different sides. I don’t want anything to do with the other side either.

Michael, I totally agree and see no bridges to reconciliation. As someone has said, "You can't negotiate with someone who's goal is to kill you." That's precisely the goal of the Democrats.

Their cancer has spread through every influential institution in our society. It is an inoperable cancer.

You've laid it out book, chapter, and verse.

We are living in dark and dangerous times, when even the former head of the FBI subtly highlights the assassination of the sitting President. His coy disclaimer is akin to Clinton's "It depends on what the meaning of is, is."

To me the conflict is between the crowd and the individual. Advanced public relations allied with money and exploding social media has made public opinion the current ages most sought after resource. When money is returned to the people who create value, the current pubic opinion will be seen as constructed from astroturf. Trump is doing great things in this area.

Civil War could be this turning point where Federalism as ideology replaced individual thought. The Prussian United States rapidly imitated European style Imperialism. This created the Administrative state of titanic lies.
