You Can't Go Out in Space, Come Back, and Land on Three-Eighths.
The kids are most definitely NOT alright.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness says suicide is the second-leading cause of death among people age 15 to 24 in the U.S. According to the studies, nearly 20% of high school students report serious thoughts of suicide and 9% have made an actual attempt to take their own lives.
Perhaps not so coincidental, the rise in suicides positively correlates with the rise in gender confusion.
Where did this rise originate?
Could it be when we turned to “experts” to help us rear and understand children?
That’s not to mention the non-experts who form the core of the Dunning-Kruger Brigades, the teachers, guidance counselors, DEI officers, and administrators, who form the “allyship” in the public schools. Don’t get me wrong, I love teachers – my wife taught for 36 years, and I owe what limited language skills to my teachers in high school, but there are people who are way out of their depth in dealing with psychological challenges children and young people face.
In large part, in my opinion, it is that we are teaching kids that 2+2=5 is true in a 2+2=4 world, and when kids can’t make sense of why four isn’t the answer they expect, they will do anything to make five work.
But it doesn’t and it never will.
One wonders where these people get their answers and their courses of professional inquiry. Perhaps they are chasing their own demons and seek to explain why they don’t quite fit in in a logical, binary world. I can only speculate, but like collectivism, modern social science seems to be an attempt to explain away the lack of individual success and status that success would allow. There is no success or status to be had in 2+2=4 because that is rational and true. You can demonstrate that with one five-fingered hand.
However, there are tons of opportunities in teaching people, especially kids, that 2+2=5. The trick is to use linguistics to change the meaning of the word “two”, which is universally understood as the definition of the concept if the existence of a pair of singular objects. You can even claim that rational mathematics is a racist construct created by white people, even though this was concept known to Ugg and Grog and their cave dwelling buddies of pre-history.
Many kids are being asked to fly solo before they have the maturity to do so. We are not preparing them for a rational world and when they run headlong into indoctrinated irrationality, they find they have been lied to their entire lives.
The photojournalist in Apocalypse Now (Dennis Hopper) said:
“You can’t travel in space, you can’t go out in space, you know, without like, you know, with fractions. What are you gonna land on? One quarter? Three eighths? What are you gonna do when you go from here to Venus?”
Hopper’s character was trying to describe a dialectic.
In classical philosophy, dialectic is a form of reasoning based upon dialogue of arguments and counter-arguments, advocating propositions (theses) and counter-propositions (antitheses). This process excludes subjective elements such as emotional appeal and rhetoric, driving to a conclusion that flows from the evidence and arguments.
When the “experts” are telling kids they can, in fact, go into space, come back, and land on three-eighths, and the kids try and find it impossible, is it any wonder they have trouble coming to terms with reality?
The future for these kids is bleak.
Truth! And those of us raised during the greatest era ever experienced on earth could have never imagined most of what grips our culture today. My heart feels bruised, having the memories of my imperfect yet wonderful life and realizing probably just a small portion of what lays ahead for those we love who follow us. Living to some extreme age holds no interest for me, outside of wishing to aide those dear youngsters belonging to families I love and respect...
