Why Can't We Just Be Friends?
The left knows the worm is turning and is desperate to avoid getting what is coming to them. "I was just following orders" and "I was afraid" are not acceptable excuses.
The paeans of the left to forgiveness for being wrong about the pandemic, like the one in the Atlantic yesterday that pled for amnesty for the coronavirus criminals and their henchmen in the Atlantic (but not for you extremist right wing disinfo spreaders who were actually, you know, RIGHT), is the cry of an oppressor who knows his time is up and fears what the rabble with pitchforks and torches are going to do to them.
Erik Wemple of the NYT added to that fear by admitting that maybe he and other journalists were cowards for not speaking out when editors, like Times editorial-page editor James Bennet, were fired for printing pieces like the famous/infamous Tom Cotton editorial.
These are expressions of "it wasn't me" in an attempt to curry a little sympathy from the victors in a culture war. It is analogous to the concentration camp criminals of Nazi Germany using the "I was just following orders" excuse.
They are saying, "Sorry we took on dictatorial powers that have never been used in America. Sorry you lost your business or your job, sorry your grandparents died alone and you couldn't attend their funerals. We're so sorry you and your kids were forced to take an experimental "vaccine" - and really sorry that your teenage son has myocarditis. Sorry that we dumbed down your kids by shuttering schools. We're sorry we told you all those things that weren't true even though we knew they weren't. Sorry we crashed a growing economy. Sorry about de-platforming your business or banning you from social media for saying things that were true but we didn't like. Can't we let bygones be bygones and just be friends?"
These are arrogant rats escaping a sinking ship.
But while there can be forgiveness, there can never be forgetfulness.
There must be consequences because none of the people pleading for amnesty and forgiveness actually mean it, they are only trying to escape what they know should be legitimately coming to them.
This is where I begin to turn the screws on the GOP.
This is it. This is the last time people are going to give them their votes if the, once again, open the Marquis of Queensbury rule book and opt to be the "bigger" people, letting people who have wreaked damage on America for almost seven years, beginning with the initiation of Operation Crossfire Hurricane.
They must pay.
There need to be Nuremberg style trials for the governors who sent infected patients back to nursing homes. Fauci, Birx, and Peter Daszak should answer for their actions, as should Randi Weingarten and all politicians who forced social distancing, masking and vaccinations on the American people.
The criminals at the DOJ, including the people at the FBI, need to go.
And Beijing Biden, his spawn, and his his whole crime family must be investigated - and not a white gloved committee show trial - this has to be a criminal investigation. We also want to know what Obama knew and when he knew it.
And Cocaine Mitch needs to be put out to a Kentucky pasture if he refuses to do what must be done.
No amnesty. No quarter, only complete victory is acceptable.
This IS the GOPs last chance. And the uniparty in DC is already kissing up to the Dems on the Paul Pelosi story, assuming along with them, that it’s right wing violence at play. Now they’ve thrown the 2 journalists who helped produce “2,000 Miles” in jail. Bring on all the investigations! These conditions they’ve imposed on our freedom can never happen again.
We are tired of “losing with dignity” to quote Benny Johnson. All these Rinos must go. That means McConnell and McCarthy — whose contract with America is just reinstating what Donald Trump already had in place — but without giving him credit for it. After being vilified and canceled in two cities, I’m not feeling the forgiveness. Reckoning is coming one way or another. If they have no fear of the Lord, they better have fear of the Right.
You're too kind Michael. Or maybe I'm beyond redemption, as I know the meaning of forgiveness - giving up the desire to punish, or get even with - but I'm just not there. Not sure I ever can be, given all that's transpired the last 20+ years. Those found guilty in Nuremburg were either hung or imprisoned. There were no plea deals, no lenience, no mercy. No one involved in the lethal fraud perpetrated on the American public should ever be allowed to draw another breath, or have even the slimmest glimmer of hope that they'll ever know freedom again. Those unwilling to pursue these miscreants and meet of the deserved justice should be swept aside without favor or remorse, so that those willing to do what must be done can get on with it.
An infected limb can kill you unless it is treated. If the corruption is too great, the limb must be amputated so that you may live, but there is no guarantee of survival without aggressive treatment. If this nation is to survive, the rot must be removed and those too timid to take action must be replaced by those who will.
