I give in to that impulse as well. Arguing with people who are like "broken records" repeating the same idiocy I've heard over and over (only they don't realize it)that they heard or read as a headline.

Regressive as it all is--some STILL call it "Progressive". It couldn't be farther from the truth.

The “Progressives” are actually all regressive in that they really hanker for elite rule with “laws for thee but not for me!” It reminds me of people thinking they are getting “progressively” more brilliant they more alcohol they consume.

The People's Republic of Park City is the home of more "Black Lives Matter" yard signs than the rest of the State. But of course there are but a handful of those poor downtrodden people of color in a town of 5,000 and are mostly the children of white liberal girlz who brought their trophy back home to live on her trust fund in her mansion that daddy bought.

We ended our near-30 year run of living in PC in 2021 but I still remember laughing at those signs (as passed them on my runs in my neighborhood in Park Meadows) planted in front of 5 million dollar homes, knowing that PC is just Martha's Vineyard West and their only use of immigrants were to clean their homes and tend to their landscaping.

But aren't housecleaning, landscaping, and picking crops the only reasons they are here?. Doing the work that oppressive Americans won't do?? Those mansion-dwellers are just honoring noblesse oblige..

Once I finally figured out that many left-wing trolls really just “bot” (AI logarithmic robot responders) I just switched to blocking them rather than letting them consume my energies uselessly.

You've detailed nicely why I no longer engage with Democrats. Pointless. It's like believing "veritas" is honored at Harvard.
