Social justice fails for two reasons we are not all born with the same level of talent and drive. We can’t equalize what you are born with and thus social justice will never occur.

"Fair" is a four letter word.

I’ve always thought that our society should incorporate the expectation of charitable giving into our country’s financial (tax) system. Something like 20% tax for everyone, decreased by up to 10% for proven charitable given of a like amount. That way people could directly support causes they believe in, but the country gets a flat amount to run its infrastructure.

Individual freedom (liberty) requires personal responsibility, self-restraint, and respect for others. I often have wondered when amidst social justice folks and their braying, whether their motivation was a fear of not being able to meet the requirements.

reading this one, Michael caused my recollection of a few things. First this should be graphed into a Ven Diagram. And I think you would see that the overlapping parts were the Control pieces.

My second thought was an old high school game we played in physc class (if memory serves as it was 50+ years ago). It dealt with circles, squares and triangles. I understood it stemmed from a game developed by a college professor.

Object is that you divide the class into 3 equal parts, one becomes the circle group, then the square and finally the triangle groups.

A set of dice are rolled to see which group goes first, and that group begins by pulling a card and doing what the card says in the form of governing the other groups. Each team then goes in succession according to the cards and the groups. Bottom line is that as one group gains in power they start making stricter and stricter rules for the other groups and eventually it all comes down to one group in power and the others are the subservient classes.

From what I remember being told, once the game has ended, never has there NOT been the existence of one group rule from the history of playing this game.

This is human nature, this is life, and this is what everyone has fought to change - or become that one group since the beginning of man. There is no changing this. Ultimately there is or will be one leading group and the only control on them will be via checks and balances, for all long as you can hold it!
