The Tyrannical Minorities
The tyranny of the minority is tyranny, no matter how it is sliced.
Let people live their lives.
I would wager that is the greatest chance America has to return to its rightful station of the shining light at the top of the hill.
It will be tough sledding though.
The founding concept of individual rights was that your rights end at the point of my nose, that you are free to do, to be, and believe whatever you want as long as that doesn’t interfere with what I choose to do, be, and believe – but that has been replaced with the idea that if I must interfere with what you do, are, and believe to realize my life goals I have the right to get government and society to force you to do so.
I pin it to Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society programs, and it is arguable when it truly began, but it has become an all too common practice for force to be used as a method of social engineering, “engineering” that is being done by the same mentally unstable people who are publicly posting evidence of their mental and emotional instability on social media after the election of a Republican president.
There is something terribly wrong with the ten to twenty percent of the American population. The problem is that they call the shots in one of our two major political parties.
The pinnacle of this problem is evidenced in the way government, society, and political parties have handled the outbreak of transgenderism.
I just want to state for the record that I know people who believe they were “born in the wrong body” and I do understand what an internal struggle that must be. I have complete sympathy for them, but I also believe – and think my position is scientifically and medically supported – that transgenderism is not real, it is a mental illness. I also believe the wave of kids, teens and young adults claiming to be transgender is a social contagion, a fad that is worsened when medical professionals abet it through brutal and irreversible surgeries.
That’s nothing new for me.
I have held that belief since Trinidad, Colorado became the “sex change” capital of the world back in the late sixties.
I harbor no ill will toward anyone who identifies as another gender, where I do take issue is when I am coerced beyond ignoring their presentation and treating them like anyone else to being forced to abandon my personal observations and beliefs to incorporate them into every phase and aspect of my life.
This seems all too close to the Orwellian story of Winston Smith when Smith saying 2+2 equals 5 was not enough, he was tortured until he believed it.
There are signs, even outside the USA, people are tired of indulging the idea that some small minority has the right to alter entire societies and cultures using coercive government. While minorities certainly have the same rights as the majorities, those rights do not include changing the majority to accommodate them. I saw a post on X about Dylan Mulvaney, a clearly mentally ill “transgender” person, who stated he had to move to Peru in 2023 to “feel safe” and just this year, Peru’s Health Ministry classified transgenderism as a mental illness.
When a minority claims to want equal treatment and yet demands to be acknowledged as being superior, special, and worthy of preferential treatment, that is every bit as much tyrannical as if the majority does it.
This is certainly not limited to the mainstreaming of mental illnesses. Contrary to evidence, we are being force fed that open borders are good, government control over the economy is best, inflation is not real, the way to beat discrimination is to discriminate more, and authoritarianism is cool if it is done by the “right people” for the “right reasons” – and if we don’t believe it, we are not Americans.
After the shellacking the Democrats took this week, people within that party are openly acknowledging that their losses were due to ceding control of their party to radical anti-American, anti-Western minorities.
This cannot be changed in the next four years, but we can begin a journey back to true individual rights and freedoms.

Actually the final straw that the losers are grasping are the supposed “missing 11 million votes.” The Biden vote in 2020 was a clear outlier in the most recent last four elections. The election itself was unusual with illegally changed voting procedures and gross irregularities during ballot counting. Outliers may imply out-and-out liars.
Less government is always better for the individual. Always.
