The Stupid Party
Bias is not bias when it is based in fact.
A friend of mine told me that my position on the Trump verdict, that I thought it was legally impossible, unconstitutional and therefore total bullshit, proved my bias.
I explained that my "bias" has been formed from watching the outcomes of incidents involving Republicans and conservatives increase in severity while similar incidents in involving Democrats and progressives decrease to near zero.
Beginning with Scooter Libby, investigations, prosecutions and persecutions have done nothing but become more frequent, more serious, more manipulated and the consequences more serious. I could compare the times GOP/conservatives were fined, penalized, had their law licenses suspended, or were incarcerated in some form or another, but there are almost no cases on the Democrat/progressive side to which to compare.
Sure, there are a few - John Edwards, Rod Blagojevich, Jim Torricelli, Bob Menendez to name a few, but there is also Hillary, Obama, Biden, Strzok, Lisa Page, Andrew McCabe, James Clapper and John Brennan (both of whom lied to Congress), Kevin Klinesmith (falsified a FISA warrant application, Christopher Steele (who built a fake dossier), Adam Schiff (who lied about everything), the 51 intel officials who signed the letter that Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation, and enough others to fill a small football stadium, all of whom were never charged, prosecuted, or when they were their prosecution was a token, the punishments were washed away by the Deep State and they were made whole.
There is nothing like this on the GOP side.
The GOP has to get to the Supreme Court or the Oval Office to get some fairness - and that is a rare thing, indeed.
Hell, Hillary was guilty of being "extremely careless" in the handling of very sensitive, highly classified information (never mind the destruction of blackberries and data AFTER a retention order was issued) and Biden is a "well meaning elderly man with a poor memory" who has had held classified documents he was not allowed to have since his days in the Senate in unsecure locations) , so they sure as hell can't be prosecuted for what they objectively, knowingly and intentionally did. They didn't mean it.
Yet Trump must face an alleged misdemeanor the shelf life of which had expired, paired with another charge that didn't apply to raise to to a felony and extend the statute of limitation to six years, then have one event be expanded to thirty four, be prosecuted for them when the prosecution never explained the actual charge (because, according to Bragg, they didn't have too), face a hostile jury of his "peers", in a trial run by a prejudiced and compromised judge.
There is nothing like this on the Democrat side.
Nothing.
Zilch.
Nada.
If you want to understand what the words "institutional" and "systemic" means, this is it. There is an institutional, systemic bias against Republicans and conservatives in the Deep State, which is controlled, of course, by Democrats. Republicans are determined to be guilty until proven innocent.
When the "hush money" charges were first filed, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (or her staff) tweeted that former President Donald Trump will have a chance to "prove innocence" in court.
That's just how the Dem Deep State machine rolls.
And the Republicans are willing to give up control of the House to get rid of George Santos.
These are the historical facts proving Democrats and progressives have zero standing to preach to me about my bias.
How stupid are we?
Pretty damn stupid, if you ask me.
The GOP has well earned the moniker of "The Stupid Party".

And the Democrats are most certainly the evil party.
Stupid may be too kind.
Maybe we need a nod to our Southern upbringing: "Bless their little pea-pickin' hearts"
