The Second Manhattan Project
The first one was organized to protect America, the second to destroy it.
The slow Gramscian march through the institutions Democrats began decades ago is nearing the endpoint. One could be forgiven for thinking what happened in that Manhattan courtroom over the past few weeks was only about getting one man, Donald J. Trump, but it was not.
This was about you and me. It was about every American citizen and about the soul of America itself.
This is about the realization of a political party that power is so central to their existence, they must take the power of choice away from the people. They now believe the people cannot be trusted to make the “right” decisions and they are the only ones who can. This is something every authoritarian movement comes to believe, and due to this belief, always go to war with the citizenry, including their own supporters.
Eventually, even their supporters come to a “My God, what have I done?” moment, but by then it is too late.
Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg waddled out to a press gathering immediately following the verdict, puffing out his toad-like neck, gloating over what they had just done as if it was a good thing.
Bragg’s persecution was considered by many legal scholars and observers as the weakest of all the lawfare brought against Trump by Democrat activists disguised as prosecutors and judges, and yet he was convicted on all thirty-four counts after a jury stacked against him deliberated a day.
The jury heard 6 weeks of testimony, was given over fifty pages of jury instructions, never really told what the crime was and rendered a judgment in a day. I am not sure what a pre-ordained verdict looks like if it does not look like this.
This case was riddled with bias, preferential treatment of the prosecution by a clearly conflicted judge who was handpicked, led by a hatchet man from the BIDEN DOJ – it is also flooded with reversable errors. Normally, I would say it would be overturned on appeal, but given this is the State of New York, I am not sure the corruption is contained in Manhattan.
It may well take the Supreme Court to finally right the wrongs of this case, but the Democrats got what they wanted – they can now go into the November election calling former President Trump the first president ever indicted and convicted of a felony.
Hillary Clinton claimed redemption. Congressional and White House Democrats smugly announced, “No one is above the law.” The ink-stained wretches at the Washington Post and the New York Times, the house organs of the Democrat Party, sent the accounts of Trump’s fall they have been writing and revising since 2015 to print. The adoring presstitutes at MSNBC and CNN could barely contain their glee.
But then there are always those who celebrate and cheer the destruction of their own civilization because in that destruction they find influence, power, and validation they are the “good” people. I keep thinking about that scene in the movie “Independence Day” where people rush to the top of buildings in LA to welcome the aliens only to have the aliens reduce them – and the city - to rubble.
Can we be rescued?
I honestly hope so but at this point, I just do not know.
America has truly split into two camps, one that is restrained by principles, the other concerned only with outcomes. I think we have always accepted the idea that every situation is different, so equality before the law varies to a small degree, but what the Manhattan jury just proved, there is no equality before the law for a political threat to the Democrat Party.
Democrat Representative Jamie Raskin, a truly arrogant little bastard fully on par with his colleagues Adam Schiff and Dan Goldman, demonstrated how in control the Democrats think they are by issuing an ultimatum to the conservative justices on the Supreme Court.
Democrats think they have won, but I think the only succeeded in pissing off principled Americans.
I do not believe all Democrats are cheering. Many are having “Oh shit” moments today.
The Democrat Party is in the grip of a small cabal of hard-core progressive, postmodernist, neo-communists. All this has the Obama cabal written all over it. Biden is an expendable avatar for Obama’s “fundamental transformation” of America. Biden is just the vector through which the Democrat plague is delivered.
Fair minded people know there were no principles at play in Manhattan yesterday, there was only power. May 30, 2024, may have been the beginning of the end – or the end of the beginning.
When a political party decides they will use the power of government to destroy their opposition, the only option for the opposition is gird their loins and go to war.
A few years ago, I warned this war was coming to your doorstep.
That notification from your Ring doorbell ain’t the Amazon guy.

Harvey Weinstein’s verdict was overturned on appeal in New York. I wonder what Weinstein negotiated with? President Trump should surely get the same consideration. (Sarcasm)
Michael, you'll be surprised, but I'm out of words, but fully agree with your post.
Dark, dark days ahead.
Thanks for sharing your valuable insights.
I put NOTHING past the Democrats.
