I'm onboard for shouting "Dumbest damn thing I've ever heard!" Might start with the Presbyterian church.

Presbyterians are not alone. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America went over the deep end years ago. As early as the late 80s, there exists a Dept. of Multiculturalism as well as Social Justice statements that far back.

This is currently on the home page for defining the ELCA:

"Because God gives us our unity in Christ, we are able to see and respect the diversity within Christ’s body. We receive it as a gift and embrace it, rather than treating it as a threat or a problem to be solved (1 Corinthians 12:12-13). We respect and honor the diversity of histories, traditions, cultures, languages and experiences among us in the ELCA and in the larger Christian community of faith. We seek full participation of all in the life and work of this church and will strenuously avoid the culture of any one group becoming the norm for all in the ELCA. And we strive to address the ways that racism, sexism, classism and other forms of injustice limit participation and harm people, communities and the whole body of Christ. In all these relationships the ELCA serves reconciliation and healing with other Christians, while repentantly acknowledging its failings and wrongs, trusting in God’s forgiving mercy."

I worked as the Meetings and Convention Director for the ELCA 1988-1991. That was at the beginning of the merger between the 3 predecessor Lutheran denominations in the US. At that time it was the 4th largest Protestant church in America with 5.4 million members. Today there are 3.3 million members. 1 out of every 4 citizens of MN were members of the ELCA. Perhaps that explains why MN is so solidly Blue and keep electing people like Ilan Omar. They are "nice" to the point of losing themselves.

Just… Wow!

Very enlightening. I didn’t know this. It sure explains a lot.

“That is the dumbest damn thing I have ever heard” Has made me very unpopular for a while -- the guy in the mirror is however OK with that.

Excellent and perceptive. "Intellect" is one thing (the assassin who murdered the Insurance CEO was a U of Penn graduate)--but "emotional" intelligence and sanity--are another ballgame. The Left understands emotional manipulation.
