It is hard not to notice that everything the Democrats are doing is wrong.
From the economy to moral issues, the Democrat base is on the wrong side.
The economic issues are sort of excusable because they are just decisions based on an accumulation of bad economic theories promulgated by wrong headed academics.
But there is a moral dimension that cannot be ignored.
Especially the way they use accusations of racism like most people drink water.
Bearing false witness against an innocent person is a sin – and Democrats level the charge against innocent people with reckless abandon. Everything is white racism – and that is not a joke. Literally everything they don’t like is blamed on racism, even when minorities conflict with each other. Last year, the attacks on Asians perpetrated by blacks were blamed on white supremacy. If you have a legitimate criticism of a person of color, it is immediately dismissed as racism. The looting and arson during the BLM protests was blamed on anger over systemic racist institutions.
In Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal, Jason Riley wrote:
“Yet tragedies today no longer can be understood as such by our elites. Instead, they too often are viewed through ideological prisms to advance a preferred narrative. Gun control advocates are using the Buffalo shootings to talk about the availability of firearms. Political partisans are using them to dump on Fox News. And activists, who ignore or play down racially motivated attacks by black perpetrators, are implying that all whites—via white supremacy—are responsible of the actions of one white person.”
And the lunacy of suborning the delusions of transgenderism has reached epic proportions with today’s congressional testimony that yes, men can get pregnant and yes, pregnant men should have access to abortions.
That is just insane.
I thought I had seen it all until I saw this tweet:
“I would rather get an abortion than have a Brown child who ends up being adopted by white evangelicals. It is not a kindness to children of the global majority to give them to people who’ll traumatize them with self and ancestral hatred. An abortion is an act of love.”
All I could think after reading that was “May God have mercy on her soul.”
There is so much wrong in that one tweet.
This woman accuses whites of “self and ancestral hatred” and yet believes a child is better off dead than to be loved by parents who just happen to be white, and I can’t even imagine how much you must hate yourself to make that kind of decision for your own child.
Of course, it was on Twitter, so it would be easy to dismiss as hyperbole – except that it is a sentiment right in line with the protests and other statements made by other abortion fetishists and lawmakers (who have proposed bills to allow abortion up till, and in a couple of cases, after birth.
For me, that is hard to get past. I can ignore being called a racist because I know it isn’t true and they use it with such frequency and in such ridiculous situations, nobody but their fellow leftists believe it – and those people are impossible to reach.
To some extent, abortion is the same. When you compare the things medical science has learned about fetal development to what abortion “rights” people believe, there is no question that the question whether a fetus is a living baby or a “clump of cells” is firmly on the side of the pro-life movement.
Shelby Steele on Tucker Carlson’s program said:
“Part of the problem, I think, that has happened to the left is that they have become exhausted. Their ideas… we have been driven by those ideas now since at least the ’60s. They fail unrelentingly. I mean, they fail with a kind of absolute precision. And that – that is where they are at. They’re desperate.”
Being desperate implies there is at least some recognition they are losing, that their arguments aren’t achieving escape velocity, they are just not getting through to people outside their bubble.
They concoct elaborate theories as to why they aren’t winning. Taylor Lorenz said that “coordinated right wing attacks” brought Scary Poppins and her Ministry of Truth down when it was just several million people (including some leftwing groups) simultaneously asking, “What new bullshit is this?” when they heard about Biden’s plans to shutter free speech.
For people who presume themselves to be elites, virtually gods on Earth, gods who have a divine right to rule, who think they have a system of morality superior to Christianity (or any other known religion), and that they possess more knowledge than that contained in the Library of Alexandra, being rejected is a hard pill to swallow.
It stings to realize that maybe they aren’t gods after all.
Nothing angers elites more than when the rubes start thinking for themselves and refuse to be ruled.
