The Dividing Line
How innocents are treated marks the difference between the civilized and the savages.
In Hamas’ strategy, there is no concern for collateral losses – rather than avoidance of the deaths of innocents, those deaths are the objective, the point of it all. The more innocent non-combatants they kill, the bigger success they claim for their “operations”.
That is standard operating procedure for terrorists – the entire point of 9/11 was the mass murder of innocents to shock the conscience and instill fear.
Contrast the terrorist’s surprise attacks with the leaflets dropped over German and Japanese cities prior to bombing by the Allies and the dropping of the first atomic bomb. The LeMay Leaflets stated:
“Read this carefully as it may save your life or the life of a relative or friend. In the next few days, some or all of the cities named on the reverse side will be destroyed by American bombs. These cities contain military installations and workshops or factories which produce military goods. We are determined to destroy all of the tools of the military clique which they are using to prolong this useless war. But, unfortunately, bombs have no eyes. So, in accordance with America’s humanitarian policies, the American Air Force, which does not wish to injure innocent people, now gives you warning to evacuate the cities named and save your lives. America is not fighting the Japanese people but is fighting the military clique which has enslaved the Japanese people. The peace which America will bring will free the people from the oppression of the military clique and mean the emergence of a new and better Japan. You can restore peace by demanding new and good leaders who will end the war. We cannot promise that only these cities will be among those attacked but some or all of them will be, so heed this warning and evacuate these cities immediately.”
Curtis LeMay was the American Air Force general who implemented an effective but controversial strategic bombing campaign in the Pacific theater of World War II.
After Hiroshima was destroyed, more leaflets were dropped beseeching the Japanese populace to evacuate cities that housed military and industrial targets because unless Japan surrendered, we were coming for Round II.
It would seem reasonable to judge between warring factions using a scale based on the concern for prevention of collateral damage. The Americans, despite being forced into risking civilian lives, clearly expressed that concern by warning the populace living in or near target areas in advance. This is one line separating civility from savagery.
Now, I ask you to consider this list:
Taxpayers
Home buyers
Law enforcement officers
Small business owners
People who oppose mandatory vaccination with experimental medicines
Victims of sex trafficking and the drug trade across the US/Mexican border
Victims of random violence
Victims of violent crimes
Aborted babies
Single mothers
Children
Men
Jews
One might ask what these people and groups have in common.
These are the people the Democrat Party considers acceptable collateral damage while they pursue their leftist agenda.
Where do you suppose the Democrats should rank on this scale between civility and savagery?
In our contemporary world, savages are more likely to be found in a $5,000 bespoke suit than in camo gear.
Wow! that hits the nail on the head and smashes it all the way down! maybe breaking the board...
