The Dewey Propaganda System
Parents from East to West are learning that public schools have been turned into propaganda mills.
Progressives constantly tell the rest of us that everything they do, even when most of the time it obviously isn’t, is “for the children.”
Nancy Pelosi has adopted this as an autonomic response, sort of like breathing.
These policies have never been “for the children”; however, they are most certainly ABOUT children, as in the progressive left owning the minds of children. Progressives have advanced every sort of dependency program imaginable in a quest to strip parentage from parents and assume those roles for government and government schools.
Every program from pre-K (assures the state gets first crack at inculcating kids) to food distribution programs to socioeconomic and cultural policies that foster single parentage are geared toward turning children into wards of the state.
While China is dealing with the results of their “one child” policy, America is reaping the “benefits” of its “one parent” policy.
If there is one good thing to come out of the “pandemic”, it was through the closure of schools and implementation of online classes, parents discovered what their children were being taught – and many were shocked. Shocked to see race and identity politics injected in every subject, explicitly in the social sciences and implicitly in the hard sciences, even to the point math was claimed to be a racist, white supremacist construct.
They heard that being punctual, proper writing and language skills and dealing with facts were all tools of the structural racism upon which America was built. Success was a white construct and was something that must be abolished.
So, it probably came as no surprise when, late in 2021, the National Council on Family Relations claimed that the nuclear family – consisting of father, mother, and children – is merely an extension of white supremacy.
When parents began to question curriculums that were radically at odds with their own belief systems, progressive politicians and teachers have claimed that parents should have no say in how and what their children are taught.
It certainly appears that parents of all beliefs, from old school liberals (different from communist progressives) to conservatives, finally are getting the message the state has been telegraphing since John Dewey (1859 – 1952), perhaps the most significant and important theorist behind all public education in the Western world, worked to establish an American public school system modelled on Stalinist communism.
That message?
“Your children are not your children; they belong to the state.”
Dewey revered the Bolshevik Revolution and Stalinist Russia. He believed the goals of the Russian communists was "the universal good of universal humanity", and from that belief, drew the following conclusion:
“In consequence, propaganda is education and education is propaganda. They are more than confounded; they are identified.”
Dewey further opined:
“The present age is, of course, everywhere one in which propaganda has assumed the role of a governing power. But nowhere else in the world is employment of it as a tool of control so constant, consistent, and systematic as in Russia at present. Indeed, it has taken on such importance and social dignity that the word propaganda hardly carries... the correct meaning. For we instinctively associate propaganda with the accomplishing of some special ends, more or less private to a particular class or group, and correspondingly concealed from others. But in Russia the propaganda is in behalf of a burning public faith. One may believe that the leaders are wholly mistaken in the object of their faith, but their sincerity is beyond question.”
Our public school system has become the propaganda mill envisioned by John Dewey.
If you wonder why forms of collectivism are in vogue more than ever and people believe America is racist, you might want to consider it is coming from your local school system.
But from Loudoun County, Virginia in the east to San Francisco in the west, parents are bringing the fight to local and school boards to stop Dewey’s tradition of propagandistic instruction.
I’ve made the point that none of this is about white people, this is the continuing efforts of communists to destroy Western capitalist civilization.
It has been proven that if any race, creed, or national origin models the behaviors of capitalist western culture, they will succeed. In America today, progressive tell us that slavery is responsible for the economic situation of black Americans while other minorities who have escaped similar situations come to America and find success – as a group, Asians have a higher median family income than whites (by almost $18,000 a year) and people of Indian, Taiwanese, Filipino, people of Australian and Israeli heritage all earn more than Americans of European heritage. Even in the face of this information, Americans are told that white people are still responsible for the plight of, and owe reparations to, the black community due to an institution that was ended a century and a half ago.
What is this magic formula for success?
Apparently, it is following a cultural model developed by those racist, sexist, heterosexual white males from northern Europe – but how can it be “white privilege” if people of color find success through it?
The answer is simple. Success isn’t “white”. Success is colorblind, but it does require adherence to a certain set of cultural rules – and by a country mile, western culture has proven to be the best vehicle to attain success for all races and sexes.
No, “white privilege” is neither white nor privilege – but it is the mortal enemy of communism…and that explains the progressives’ hatred of it and why they have worked so hard to strip Western culture from our children.
