September 1, 2022.
The day the Democrat Party died.
Upon further review of our failed and mentally failing president, I realized how sad his speech really was.
The quiet part of America, the people who work to feed their families, help their neighbors, go to church on Sunday, and just want to be left alone, watched Biden's Leni Riefenstahl inspired production of a speech filled with slander, threats, hate and stupidity - and summarily dismissed it as the ranting of a sadly diminished and defeated man.
Once again, this President’s advisors show contempt for him and display how expendable he is by sending him out to threaten half of America. They sent him on a fool’s errand.
Real, everyday Americans don't suffer fools lightly.
The don’t have time. They are trying to take care of their families during a denied recession brought about by the same man standing on the stage threatening and demeaning them – to their faces.
I can see heads nodding this morning by people thinking:
“OK, so that’s how you are going to play it, bub? Well, we ain’t havin’ it. FJB, baby.”
This was a desperate, extremist speech from the leader of a dying political party making a last grasp for power. Rather than a speech about the soul of America, it was a distraction from the destruction they have vested on the soul of our nation. From economic freedom to the sanctity of our children, there is not a single tradition, moral, value or principle of America they haven't attacked - and if you find one they haven't, rest assured that they just haven't got to it yet.
It is on the list.
I'm reminded of something Obama loved to say. Every time he was faced with a problem with which he didn't want to deal, he would just say "this is not who we are". Biden's speech illustrates who they think we are by the things he attacked - and how it is the Democrats who are "not who we are".
This is a party that, for a full year, supported “mostly peaceful protests” that burned cities, set-up their own “autonomous zones” and attacked police and government facilities. They excused large gatherings attended by their constituents while locking other people in their homes, arresting them for walking alone, shutting down small businesses while allowing big box stores to remain open, and firing workers from their jobs if they didn’t bend to take government mandated vaccines. They glorified criminals (because they were black) and bailed out BLM/ANTIFA rioters, looters and arsonists and tried to send a man to jail for defending himself. They justified looting and destruction as “reparations”.
And if you disagreed, they called you a white supremacist and a domestic terrorist and in the midst of cities in flames, pointed to you as the greatest threat to America.
In classic totalitarian rhetoric, Biden promised total freedom as long as he was given power to decide how to define your freedom.
You can have the freedom to abort a child and "privacy" as long as you surrender to surveillance by the IRS and FBI. You can interact on social media as long as you surrender your right to free speech. You can have democracy as long as you vote the right way. You can have public education as long as you turn your children over to the radicals in government schools. You can be totally free as long as you allow the government to control every aspect of your life.
They claim the GOP is attacking the soul of the nation as they attack the soul of the nation by attacking the Constitution, abolishing the Senate, ending the filibuster, packing the Supreme Court, censoring free speech, rigging elections by using mail out ballots, defunding the police, abolishing ICE, opening our borders, forcing experimental drugs on kids, abolishing religion, eliminating your right to bear arms, stoking violent racial division, and ruling by unconstitutional executive order.
Every "freedom" the Democrats claim to protect comes with strings attached that give them more power.
But Biden's speech, met by mild acclimation from the trained seals in the media, was delivered from a point of weakness.
It wasn't designed to unify or clarify; it was designed to make you suspect that your neighbor who flies an American flag from his front porch (as I do) might just be one of those dangerous Ultra MAGA Republicans.
It was an attempt to define half of America as evil terrorists to justify any action, no matter how anti- or extraconstitutional to "neutralize" them.
I think it is downhill for the Democrats from here.
Delivered on the 270th anniversary of the Liberty Bell arriving in Philadelphia, Biden's speech proved why these delusional, messianic, self-righteous, and clueless people should never again be allowed near power of any kind.
Last night's speech was a clarifying moment for many.
The battle lines were clearly drawn last night.
There is no ambiguity now. You are either on one side or the other.
America is now officially divided.
As I said after the speech last night, it came from a party as grotesque, cold, and lifeless as its leader.
Biden’s speech was less of an address to the people and more of a death rattle.
2 thoughts:
1. In a world that has become increasingly unstable, with domestic invasions as insidious and widespread as they are UNacknowledged, increasingly oppressive forces within our own government, and the intentional destruction of the foundations of our prosperity and liberty, the only “Threat” he sees is the outcry of misery from more than half of the population of this country.
Instead of Listening, Representing us, and taking corrective measures to address the MANY issues his administration caused, he shouts that he’ll bring the full power and might of the government and military down upon us to crush any who petition their leaders for redress.
I think that *That* “Is not who we are.”
“… A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”
2. Stepping back to get the full perspective of the destruction that is being wreaked not only upon the largest economy in the world, but indirectly on the many other countries whose well-being also depends on us, my overarching question is simply
WHY?
WHY WAS ANY OF THIS NECESSARY??
It was upsetting to see that pretender using Independence Hall as a backdrop flanked by two marines. What a defilement! He doesn’t know what Democracy even means. And both he and his press Secretary need to look in the mirror when defining what is an extremist!
