Michael… I will certainly damage my social credit score by saying this, but it seems more and more that Heinlein was correct. Find a valley. Withdraw your services from society. But, I fear the valleys have all been occupied byVRBOs.

When I was growing up, I never even heard the notion of homosexuality until I was a senior in high school, and I was shocked and saddened. I didn't understand how there could be mutual sexual pleasure when the anus has no pleasure gland. Clearly, there isn't. It is a selfish, unnatural act and I regret that western civilization seems now to embrace all sex acts as equal.

You have presented the case in my mind that reading the book, "Dune" or "To Kill a Mockingbird" is grounds for the decision to never see the movie. The movie in my mind is always IMO better than that presented by the screen plays made on a budget.

I can generally separate an actor/singer from his/her "real life," and ignore their stupidity while enjoying their talent. I suppose there will come a time when that may no longer be the case, as their stupidity becomes even more stupid.

One problem with movies made from books is that screenwriters and directors (and actors) often want the author kept at a distance. At least one author got his name taken off the credits (I forget who).

I read the series many years ago; made the mistake of seeing the first version.

I saw the footage of Tim at the festival. A strange man indeed.
