Slava Ukraini
Those words do not mean what people think they mean. They have been cheapened by fools with no understanding of war or intent to win it.
I'm not against war.
I'm against stupid wars. I'm against preventable wars that are made possible by Dunning-Kruger regimes run by people who think they are experts in foreign policy but have been wrong about every foreign policy decision for half a century. I'm against paying governments that turn their people into mercenaries to wage a proxy war on our or anyone's behalf.
It seems ironic that the same people who want me to understand Stalin’s Holodomor are supporting a war that has literally the same effect.
People love to say that war or violence is never the answer, but that isn't quite true, is it?
In my elementary school years, I was a small kid, from a rural farm setting, an only child until I was 8, and on top of that, after my third-grade year, the school district lines were redrawn, and I was sent to a completely different school where I knew almost nobody. My torment started in 4th grade when I was bullied by a bigger, stronger kid my from the city who had about ten times the friends that I had.
There is no more accurate crucible of society and civilization than a third-grade playground at recess.
I put up with it for a year until I got tired of being afraid and in spring of my 5th grade year, in an obscure corner of the playground it came to a head, and I reached a crossroad. I was approached by this kid and the taunting started – but that day, instead of making jokes, I clocked him. I planted a knotted 10-year-old fist right to the center of his nose and blood began to flow.
Even though he outweighed me by a good thirty pounds, I climbed him like a tree and pummeled him until he started crying. There was no psychology involved; this was all about domination and pecking order on the playground.
I eventually got five licks of the principal’s paddle and another little swatting when I got home for breaking the rules, but the daily torment ended that day - and my life changed. It was at that point that I learned that I would never let anybody put me down, demean or discount me in any way because I had the power and courage to overcome anything.
That is a lesson that I never would have learned without that fateful confrontation on a playground in Mississippi.
Am I saying that violence is the answer to everything?
No.
But violence is the answer to some things – and that violence needs to be applied at the right time, in the right place, and to the right effect.
If I had traded my lunch money for playground protection, I would still have been a target - and when I stopped paying, the protection stopped. If I got someone to beat up the bully, then I gained no respect.
I continue to believe that wars run by politicians are never what they seem, and our wars since WWII prove that. Politicians know how to start wars; they just don't know how to finish them.
Honestly - how did the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan work out?
I supported both, I'll be honest but a few years in, our political/managerial class lost the will to win, if they ever had it - but the checks kept flowing - and in the end, these two countries were given back to the same people who were in control to begin with. I will go to my grave believing Biden's disgraceful exit from Afghanistan signaled Russia to invade Ukraine.
One cannot expect a war run by cowards to turn out any differently. If America is going to Slava Ukraini, we need to Slava Ukraini, to commit to breaking things and killing people until they know they are defeated. One can’t send advanced weapons to Ukraine and then micromanage how they use them. The whole idea that war should be proportional – that we must equal the limits of our enemies – is total insanity. Weapons free means weapons free. It doesn’t mean we wait around to see how hard our enemy hits us so we can hit back equally. Half assed war never ends.
See, that’s my problem. I’m a war absolutist and I know it. I hate war – but if we decide to get in one, we need to be in it to win it. Total commitment and victory through total submission of an enemy is the only goal.
People want to claim that we are abandoning Ukraine – I do not think that is Trump’s point. Trump is trying to stop the cruelty of a proxy war that failures of policy – and let’s be honest – complete failure of a woke intel community allowed to happen. Based on the cards that have been dealt by the worst collection of foreign policy morons in history, negotiation is the only way to end this at this point.
The time to Slava Ukraini has passed. We funded them into an impossible situation by helping to create the mirage they would win, or Russia would just stop. Neither is achievable.
I want to stop the wanton slaughter of Ukraine’s youth. At this point, that is the real Slava Ukraini.

..." stop the wanton slaughter of Ukraine’s youth. At this point, that is the real Slava Ukraini."
The US and EU foreign policy morons who have put the civilized world at risk of a larger war need to be corraled and incarcerated for life. The slaughter of so many without purpose is an abomination.
I too believe in war when a necessity. This is not winnable
The real disgrace is for the duration of mid 2023 to 2024 our military, media and policy makers LIED SAYING Ukraine was winning. TOTAL BS. They Were losing disastrously. To CONTINUE this money flowing…. A complete lie…. Further, when Biden and Blinken went there - they put on a Hollywood production
We really have no idea what’s what.
