Serial Abusers
Democrats are constantly blaming Americans for their actions.
“Look what you made me do.”
That’s a phrase common to people who abuse kids, spouses, and pets.
It’s also common to Democrats.
I was engaged in a conversation with someone who simply could not believe I would even consider a twice impeached, four time indicted and arrested insurrectionist who is facing 91 felony counts. I reminded that neither impeachment trial found him guilty of anything, that neither being indicted nor arrested means he was guilty of what he is charged, and that that the volume of charges is irrelevant to guilt or innocence.
The response to that was, “Well a judge said he was guilty of rape in the E. Jean Carroll case”.
I reminded her that 1) this was a New York law designed specifically to allow Carroll’s claim and only to prosecute Trump, 2) that he was not found guilty of rape but based on the “preponderance of evidence”, 3) he was convicted of sexual battery and defamation by a Manhattan jury and 4) the appeals process is ongoing.
As to the appeal, I also remarked how incredible it was for the presiding judge US District Judge Lewis Kaplan, a Clinton appointee, would write in a ruling that it didn’t matter what the jury said, he thought the trial evidence demonstrated Trump "raped" Carroll in the plain sense of the word.
"The finding that Ms. Carroll failed to prove that she was 'raped' within the meaning of the New York Penal Law does not mean that she failed to prove that Mr. Trump 'raped' her as many people commonly understand the word 'rape’. Indeed, as the evidence at trial recounted below makes clear, the jury found that Mr. Trump in fact did exactly that."
Unbelievable. It sure seems to indicate judicial bias was at work here, especially when the evidence was so thin that there was even an encounter. You had to believe that Trump did something to stitch that evidentiary quilt together.
I asked if she understood that Trump has been under legal scrutiny, investigation or in court since July of 2015 and why she supposed that was – her reply was, “He made us do it.”
“Really?” I said, “And just how did he do that?”
“He wouldn’t behave. He destroyed our traditions and norms.”
She was shocked when I told her that her mental process of blaming the victim for her actions was the mark of a serial abuser. It is common for serial abusers to tell the victim "You made me mad," "I can't help being angry," "you made me do it, why did you make me hit you?" The abuser blames everyone else for their actions – a teacher if he/she didn't pass the class, law enforcement for getting a traffic ticket or parents for being told that there are chores to be done.
In this case, it’s all Trump’s fault.
When it comes to the Democrat Party, this is who they have always been, it is just that the coming of President Trump focused their anger and delusion on a single person. After he left office, that focus spread to his allies – it seems easy to imagine Judge Chutkan or Judge Kelly or any other judge handling the J6 trials saying, “I really don’t want to give you 17 years for breaking a window, but you made me do it.
We don’t want to force you to stay home, close schools, social distance, wear a mask, or get vaccinated, but see, you made us do it. It’s your fault because you wouldn’t do these unnecessary things, we wanted you to do”.
Since Obama was elected in 2008, the theme running through every Democrat action is that since you don’t cave to the Democrat agenda, you deserve what you get because you offended them by rejecting their bogus ideology. You see, they didn’t want to do it, but you made them. For the good of the country, they are going to need to punish you, so you learn not to disobey. It is for your benefit, of course.
Democrats are little more than an organization of serial abusers of the American people – and anyone who opposes them.

And Michael - what about you??? You made me read this posting...and it was Damn Good. Spot On and I thank YOU! This maybe one that you need to post on FB too!
Spot on, thanks, Michael! ‘Victimhood’ is the gift that keeps on giving since there’s always someone else to blame, especially when Big Brother is onside with the victim. In that sense, I support Trump ‘because’ of his supposed crimes rather than ‘in spite of them’.
