Some administrations exaggerate for effect.
The media and many NeverTrumpers accuse President Trump of lying, and in the strictest definition of the word, he did – but his “lies” were often little more than exaggeration for a purpose or effect.
There is no doubt that no matter what you think about Trump the person, his actions and policies – in the face of constant assault from all sides – made America better for everybody. There was such a shortage of racism, bigotry, and all things grievance, more had to be manufactured.
Then there are some administrations that lie because that’s all they know how to do when they can’t explain their failures.
That’s the Biden administration.
I saw it reported that a survey of the employment history of 68 top officials in the Biden Administration – starting with the president himself – shows most of the nation's senior executive branch policymakers have zero experience in the private sector.
Perhaps the greatest fallacy believed by the people of the left is that the paradigm shifts they propose in the energy markets will either have no effect on their daily lives or make them better.
Given that these people have had zero competitive experience in the free market, is it any wonder they can’t see the damage their adventures in socialism are doing?
Not good. Anything and everything is possible for a theoretician.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice; but in practice, there is.
Absent of any practical knowledge, people like Biden’s cabal always double, triple and quadruple down rather than adapt because they just don’t know what else to do.
Something I always find interesting that according to leftists worldwide, no matter what the current global crisis is, the solutions are always the same: a benevolent and munificent world dictatorship of the enlightened elite, and mass transfer of wealth from rich nations to poor nations.
That’s what they want to do about global warming, cooling, and climate change, whatever the crisis du jour is. The same with economic challenges, it is also what they wanted to do about overpopulation, famine, acid rain, endangered species, borders, wars, you name it, world dictatorship run by the UN and technocratic transhumanists at the World Economic Foundation is the answer.
Roger Nash Baldwin, one of the founders of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient in 1981 (awarded by Jimmy Carter), said:
“I am for socialism, disarmament, and, ultimately, for abolishing the state itself… I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.”
Socialism, Marxism, Communism. Dictatorship of the proletariat. Total democracy, no countries, no government, total unity and freedom, nobody has more than anyone else, we all are equal. Saddle up the unicorns, right?
Sounds pretty sweet, doesn’t it?
Except it is all a total crock of bullshit.
Charles Richard Van Hise, an early “progressive” who served as president of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin, from 1903 to 1918, wrote a book in 1912 titled Concentration and Control in which he proposed there is a way to achieve the same ends of socialism, which entailed the government ownership of the means of production, without physically taking over the means of production. He proposed that if the government could just dictate methods of operation and prices through regulation, the socialist Utopia was just around the corner.
Hise defined progressivism by claiming it is “Regulation, not socialism”.
When the original concept of socialism was defined, to own and centrally plan an economy meant that a government had to have ownership of the “means of production” which would have been the physical ownership and control of raw materials, manufacturing facilities and the labor of the people.
Today, as we have shifted away from the need for many of these physical means of “production” and toward more of an electronic society, the “means of production” has come to be more related to capital and fungible currency than a smokestack. If you control the flow of money, it is not necessary to own the physical assets because you can control the asset through money flow. This “balance sheet Bolshevism” is what Charles Richard Van Hise was taking about in 1912 and exactly what the Obama and Biden administrations have employed.
The fact is that Democrats aren’t Marxists and the political left in America isn’t communist. They are something far more dangerous – they subscribe to an ideology completely befit of recognizable principles, morals, or values. They call themselves progressives while being some of the most regressive people you will ever met. So many otherwise good people are being corrupted by this destructive ideology though its deceptive and manipulative methods, many have succumbed to its power without being aware of it.
Progressivism isn’t socialism, Marxism, or communism. It is a mutated retrovirus of these three combined with corporatism, cronyism, and fascism. It is not about equality or fairness; it is about the power of centralized control and serfdom, especially over people who disagree with it.
Bad ideas never seem to die, but we have a once in a generation chance to bury progressivism for a few generations. Through the actions of people with absolutely zero real experience, actions that have obviously causes harm, progressivism has one foot in the grave.
Let’s finish it.
Let’s be their huckleberry.
I strongly suspect you would not be incorrect if you also wrote: "Have zero military experience."

I agree with the majority and main thrust of what you've written today @Michael, but I have a slightly different view on the Obama and Biden administrations. Yes, they lie - they lie intentionally to try to convince the people that the result of their policies is not what the people see. And yes, they double, triple, and quadruple down. My disagreement with you is that, while I used to give them the benefit of the doubt, I not longer believe that they do this "because they just don't know what else to do." I am now of the firm position that what they are doing, and the doubling, tripling, and quadrupling down, is all by design and intent - not ignorant failure. While much of this administration is ill equipped even to serve as janitors, even that to me seems by design. They are intentionally destroying the country and everything historically "American" in order to usher in the time of the elite. That the underlings (and the president himself) are completely incompetent helps cover, and perhaps helps sell to the blind, the story that some of what is happening is just poor decision making while those running the show behind the scenes are accomplishing their goals. I don't know when I became such a skeptic, as I've always considered myself just a realist; maybe I am still being realistic. Either way, I think you're being far too generous in attributing their actions to simple ignorance.
