Yeah, I’m a little pissed off this morning.
I heard something yesterday that really didn’t matter much at the time, but after a few hours of marinating in my brain, the intensity increased. Like one of those musical ear worms, it just kept eating at me.
So I’ll share it with you in hopes I’m not the only one who is feeling this way.
I was listening to Megyn Kelly and Charles C.W. Cooke whining about one of Trump's mean "truths" aimed at Cocaine Mitch and his wife, Elaine Chow, that was in my opinion, uncalled for - but compared to the things Biden and team are actually doing to destroy the country, was pretty dismissible. Sure, Trump has no self-control and I often wonder “What the hell, Don?” when I read what he “truths” but Good Lord, do these people not see the difference between an offensive statement and the immediate, willful, tangible harm the Democrats are doing?
90% of the time, I like listening to her program because she has interesting guests. I love it when she has the team from the podcast “Ruthless” on because they are spot on and pretty damn funny about it, but Meggie sometimes gets into moralizing mode and it seems to rise to a crescendo any time she has anybody from National Review as a guest. Kelly and Cooke were in the "we must be above this and be proper and nice" mode, which always winds up in defeat when your opponent will literally say and do anything not just to defeat you, but to destroy you.
Holy crap, I wish everybody would be nice to each other as well and have rational, logical, fact-based conversations about our problems.
But that ain’t the world in which we currently inhabit.
We live in a world where the choices are almost always between the lesser of two evils.
The Georgia Senate race is a prime example.
Even if Hershel Walker did pay for a girlfriend’s abortion 15 years ago and is pro-life today, that still does not change the fact that more black babies are aborted in New York than are born and that Raphael Warnock, while claiming to be a Christian minister, voted for a Democrat abortion bill that would allow abortions up until birth for any reason.
Pennsylvania is another example. Oz might be a TV huckster on the one hand, but on the other is a legit doctor who developed and teaches surgical procedures at medical schools. Fetterman is a deadbeat, Harvard graduated, faux thug who lived off his parents into his 40’s, who showed up around a third of the time during his stint as Lt. Governor and has a pro-crime Karl Marx complex.
In the cause of liberty, the choice in each of these two races is obvious – even if Walker is lying about paying for the abortion (if he did, he should have just said he did) and you think Oz is a bad candidate.
They may not always vote the way we need them to vote, but one thing is for sure, we know Warnock and Fetterman will NEVER vote to preserve liberty and reduce the power of government.
In case Megyn and Charlie haven’t noticed, half of America hates (or has been induced into a complete state of fear and paranoia) the other half – and it isn’t the conservative side that is hell bent on violence or oppression by the DOJ. It’s not angry, impolite words they are using, they are supporting riots and looting, silencing free speech, deplatforming and demonetizing people on social media, prosecuting people for walking through the Capitol and protesting at abortion clinics, ending careers in the private sector and the military for not taking experimental medications that they don’t want or need and choking off energy production in the name of Mother Gaia.
The Democrat left is delivering material damage to the people of America. People are getting hurt – and I fear the worst is yet to come.
Coming at these problems with a British accent, a stiff upper lip and sophomoric intellectualism isn’t going to stop them from driving a sword into your ribs.
I laughed when I heard a little later that Sassy Ben Sasse is resigning his Senate seat “imminently” and all I could think was “I didn’t know he was still in the Senate.”
"GOP" politicians like Sasse, Liz Cheney, and Adam Kinzinger either were rejected by their constituency or are getting out because they are not up to the job ahead. Sasse's resignation is a bit of a surprise because his state has accepted his "do nothing" career and he could have been there for decades longer, just sticking his head up every now and again to issue some platitudes or writing a book about things he has no intention of doing and then returning to doing nothing.
I'm sort of with Shakespeare when it comes to these milquetoast politicians like Cheney, Kinzinger, Sasse, Romney and holy hell, Lindsey Graham.
"Out, damned spot! Out, I say!"
That’s where I am with these GOP members who aren’t tired of America getting it up the rectum with a hot poker.
Get out. Go find a cushy think tank or a university job and leave the fight to the fighters. Go talk to Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, Lauren Boebert and MTG if you want to know what it takes to fight.
War is not subject to the Marquis of Queensbury rules.
War is shouting followed by intense violence, then, if they so choose, the victor can be nice and proper, showing compassion and forgiveness - but always according to the rules of the victor.
In the classic tome, “On War” by Carl von Clausewitz, he states that “War is politics by other means,” and if true, one can make the case the converse is also true – that politics is war by other means.
If a foreign power had forced such complete capitulation through attack or invasion rather than by political action, Americans would recognize it as war even if Megyn Kelly and Charles C.W. Cooke would not.
Make no mistake, this is a war.
While enjoying my last Camel of the day on the deck, watching the waxing moon play peek-a-boo through the clouds, my musings went to a dark place as they tend to do from time to time. Placing my tinfoil hat atop my once ginger locks, I scared myself a little.
It occurred to me that a sense of inevitability has grown since the once vaunted Fourth Estate crowned Barry Soetero in '08 (if he shares DNA with Obama, I'll eat my hat) Since then, it seems we've trudged inexorably toward some unseen, but quietly hinted at, endgame. I asked myself, how do you hide a conspiracy theory? Believe me, I'm no fan of conspiracies. Franklin was right. Three can keep a secret if two are dead. And if two of them are Rosencrantz & Guildenstern, there's your likelihood of coincidence. But if you hold all the cards and the deck is marked, you can pretty much do and say anything you want and when those of us that just prefer to be left the hell alone, poke our heads up and notice that things are not as we've been told and dare to question the narrative, we're called conspiracy nuts at best. Hide you intentions in the midst of countless improbable theories and like the guy in the gorilla suit, you can pass unnoticed while folks are focused on something else.
Barry and the Press laid the groundwork, likely off some gridwork enhanced by W. Her was supposed to further undermine the foundation, but those holding the marked card deck were too cute by half and too many normies were going, "WTF man" and propelled OrangeManBad into a position to gum up the works. That could not stand. The Build-a Burgers, Tri-Verticals, and Q, or K, or whoever is pulling the marionette strings have a schedule to keep.. Enter the Bat Soup Flu. Except it wasn't as scary, or lethal as they'd hoped, so the "two weeks to slow the curve" turned into two years of do as we say or we'll destroy you.
An election was stolen, an economy purposely run aground. People are intentionally egging others on into acts of violence and mayhem and if the intended perpetrators aren't destructive enough, the card holding, string pullers, will just make stuff up. Lock up Granny for taking selfies in an orchestrated "insurrection" cause she didn't die in the plandemic and now we're days away from teaching our grandkids to Duck & Cover.
In the meantime, soundbites like, 'you'll own nothing and like it.' Or, 'bugs are better than beef' get tossed around as the secret plan (conspiracy) of those that believe they rule the world. The tinfoil hat is coming off, but I can't help but feel there's something we're heading toward and none of us are going to like it much.
In a speech given Sunday afternoon at Hillsdale College, Professor Sean McMeekin of Bard College twice said that Victoria Nuland is the main reason for war in Ukraine. Last night I read that Ken Burns new documentary about the Holocaust has been rushed into an early release in order to get the proles jazzed up for the war with Russia.
The Democrats know that Biden will be impeached if the GOP take control of the House and we are not involved in a declared war against Russia. THREE MONTHS.
They care nothing for America. It's all about power and control
