Never Underestimate the Power of Stupid People in Large Groups

Democrats, like the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland, sometimes believe six impossible things before breakfast.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

There exists no better physical representation of this common bumper sticker/tee shirt idiom than the Democrat Party.

Viewed individually from top to bottom, this is a political party made up of some of the most unimpressive, unaccomplished, weak, cowardly, shameless, ignorant, and just downright hateful people.

But they win.

Why?

Because winning is the only thing in which they believe.

Bereft of, and unburdened by, any principle or value, they will say anything, do anything, believe anything and when that does not work, they will turn on a dime, claim they never said it, did it, or believed it and simply look you in the face and lie - if that is what is required to win.

They, like the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland, sometimes believe six impossible things before breakfast.

Here are six that come to mind just this morning (as the caffeine kicks in). It is impossible to:

1. End discrimination by just discriminating harder.

2. Have a government that gives to some without taking from others.

3. Be free and totally planned and controlled at the same time.

4. Have a welfare state and open borders.

5. Borrow, tax, and spend our way to national prosperity.

6. Change a man or woman into a woman or man through drugs and surgery.

Why do they do it?

Because it works.

But why does it work?

First, it is because half of America has been rendered mentally weak through decades, generations even, of constant attacks on who they are and what they believe. It was not done with a 12-pound sledge, it was the incessant pecking of a 6-ounce cabinetmakers hammer that did the job. People gave up their independence to make it stop – and yet it never does. People have been made so vulnerable they came to be convinced to believe those same six impossible things before their breakfast.

They have been sold the idea that emotions have triumphed over reason, only other people will pay for it and America is too big to fail.

And that is when the Democrats bring out the 12-pound sledge and go to work, breaking everything into little pieces.

It also works because people find safety and anonymity in the crowd and the mentally and morally weak find their strength in plurality, defining their own principles, beliefs and behaviors by those of the crowd, not from any individual core system of morality.

I believe this is why, anytime a Democrat is cut from the herd, they have such a difficult time articulating what they believe, why they believe it and how it would work. Without the safety and support of the crowd, their intellectual insouciance is revealed, and in 400 watt, 6-channel surround sound and 8K living color.

Defending the indefensible tends to lead to frustrated, angry reactions.

The actions of crowds are not rational; they are a mass of uncoordinated and largely unconscious behaviors from which arise “emergent properties”, the characteristics an entity gains when it becomes part of a bigger system.

America hasn’t seen the current level of harsh rhetoric and the political violence since the violent protests and the radicalism of the 1960’s. Many people think of this period as the age of the Civil Rights struggle, and it was – but there was another component active as well. It was also a period during which the desires of anarchists and communists (just anti-capitalists, really) who chose to piggyback on the Civil Rights movement, were expressed – and often violently so. Groups like the Students for a Democratic Society, the Weather Underground, the Black Panthers, the Youth International Party and even the ludicrous Symbionese Liberation Army (that kidnapped Patty Hearst).

Massive, national movements are rarely pure. There are always some hangers-on that are pulled along with the current. Way back in 1895, Gustave Le Bon in his book, “The Crowd”, noted how certain people and groups that could not achieve notice on their own would alloy themselves with popular movements like a parasite - and how the leaders of the crowd sometimes had other motives than the crowd but was able to use the momentum of the movement to propel their personal agenda forward.

Today’s political movements are no different.

The same Frankenstein’s monster of radicalism has been reanimated and walks with the undead in the new millennium. These contemporary forces are using spurious accusations of fascism, racism, oppression, discrimination, etc. to further their aims in manners reminiscent of the protests of the “Free Love” era. As was true in the 1960’s, domestic terrorism against Pigs (the police), the Man (the established cultural mores), capitalist dogs (corporations and Wall Street) and political enemies (conservatives and Republicans) are all the rage.

But it is all fake.

It is all based on six impossible things Democrats believe before breakfast, and as we know, when any argument begins with a false premise, everything that follows is false as well.

John Adams famously wrote:

“Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

That is well and true, but I think Adams left out one thing. One of the important things, perhaps THE MOST important thing, is that America was built upon reason and was made for a moral, religious and a RATIONAL people.

Reason and logic are the Achilles heel of the Democrat Party. That is how we win. It is as simple as making logic and debate required classes in our public schools.
