Of course, the Ronna McDaniel era is over at NBC/MSNBC, as we all expected.
Ronna lasted four days, equivalent to 0.363 Scaramucci units. One Scaramucci is equal to the eleven days Anthony Scaramucci worked in the Trump White House before getting canned to live the rest of his life on Twitter.
I’m still amazed at the spectacle the media created with McDaniel. It’s no secret they launch into the stratosphere faster and more frequently than one of Musk’s SpaceEx rockets, but the past few days have been a thing of beauty.
As many have pointed out, McDaniel, Mitt Romney’s niece, is no rock-ribbed conservative. She is sort of a traditional liberal Republican like her uncle, a man the left vilified as Bain Capital Hitler when he ran for president but have loved him since he voted to convict President Trump during the first failed impeachment farce. Given a couple of paychecks, she would have morphed into just another MSNBC “Republican” like Michael Steele (also a former RNC Chair), Nicolle Wallace (W. Bush White House Comms Director), or Joe Scarborough (former GOP congressman).
But the Meltdown Media treated McDaniel as if she were the second coming of Barry Goldwater. They were not trying to get her fired, they were trying to destroy her.
“Election Denier!” they scream. “Burn her!”
As is typical for me, I thought of the scene in Monty Python’s “Holy Grail” where the crowd claims to have discovered a witch:
MSNBC Hosts: We have found a witch! (A witch! a witch!) Burn her burn her!
Rachel Maddow: We have found a witch; may we burn her?
(cheers)
NBC Executive: How do you known she is a witch?
Nicolle Wallace: She looks like one!
NBC Executive: Bring her forward.
McDaniel: I'm not a witch! I'm not a witch!
NBC Executive: Ehh... but you are dressed like one.
McDaniel: They dressed me up like this!
MSNBC Hosts: Naah no we didn't... no.
McDaniel: And this isn't my nose, it's a false one.
NBC Executive: ( lifts up carrot) Well?
Rachel Maddow: Well, we did do the nose.
NBC Executive: The nose?
Rachel Maddow: ...And the hat, but she is a witch!
MSNBC Hosts: Yeah, burn her, burn her!
NBC Executive: Did you dress her up like this?
Rachel Maddow: No! (no no... no) Yes. (yes yeah) a bit (a bit bit a bit) But she has got a wart!
(Mika Brezinski points at wart)
NBC Executive: What makes you think she is a witch?
Nicolle Wallace: Well, she turned me into a newt!
NBC Executive: A newt?!
(Nicolle Wallace pauses & looks around)
Nicolle Wallace: I got better.
(pause)
Mika Brezinski: Burn her anyway!
MSNBC Hosts: Burn her! Burn her! Burn!
If you have ever seen the movie, you know what I’m talking about. Replace the word “witch” with “election denier” and there you go.
It has come to a point in American political life where it is impossible NOT to notice that a major characteristic further exacerbating the general lack of intellectual rigor of the liberal caucus is their complete lack of self-awareness.
They could never see themselves in the Python skit, even though it defines the past few days perfectly.
I have long theorized the reason that liberals can’t see or accept the truth, especially if it is unpleasant or unhelpful to them, is they will only reason to a level of emotional satisfaction where their confirmation bias is satisfied.
Reasoning to a level of emotional satisfaction is the end of thinking. The left doesn’t need to trouble themselves with continued intellectual inquiry because there is no curiosity remaining, explaining why name calling is the end of every difficult debate. Screaming racist, bigot, xenophobe, homophobe – or any other epithet is not a diversion, it is the end for them.
No further debate is necessary.
But as usual, Monty Python explains it all.

Re: "they will only reason to a level of emotional satisfaction"
The facts the Left use for reasoning, however, don't reflect objective cause and effect. They're a stew of prejudgments seen through a dim cult brainwashed curtain. They have answers for every fact question before they're ever asked.
