Minorities Owe Democrats Nothing

Investing votes in Democrats is a bad idea. Selling your vote to the Democrat Party is an investment with a negative ROI.

I’ve been thinking about all the row over the false claim that the Florida Ed guidelines said that slavery was good for the slaves because it taught them a skill. Bubblehead Marie Harf, half of the old Valley Girl Spokestwit Sorority at the State Department – the other half being Jenn “Holla Back” Psaki, triggered me again this morning on Howie Kurtz’s Media Buzz – there are no live brain cells in Marie’s noggin – by claiming DeSantis is just doing so many racist things, it is hard to keep up. Rich Lowery was the other guest in the segment, he stated directly to her that it was a lie, but she sidestepped and kept pressing that it was true – Kurtz wrapped up the segment by stating that it had already been verified that the curriculum did not say what Harf said it did and that DeSantis had no hand in the formulation of the guidelines.

The idea that slaves did learn skills that helped them after they were free is not arguable. If a slave was a blacksmith, a farmer, a carpenter, or a cook, those are skills that are important and valuable in a post-slavery economy. There is no data to suggest they were worse off for knowing things that were useful and valuable afterwards – the Civil War didn’t erase needs in those areas if anything, it increased the demand.

And yet, the Democrats persist in misstating what the Florida program says.

It is assuredly about owning DeSantis right now (as a matter of political convenience and necessity), but there is another, longer term, aspect of it as well. Some of it, maybe a large percentage probably has to do with the messianic, white savior complex endemic in the contemporary American left, the idea that no minority could ever be expected to succeed (or just get by) without help from AWFLs (Affluent White Liberal Females), liberal suburban wine moms, and soft handed, soft brained upper class white leftist intellectuals.

The idea that slaves – or any modern minority – do not owe their very continued existence and sustenance to the leftist, collectivist ideas and policies of the Democrat Party is something too crazy to even contemplate for the contemporary Biden supporter. In their minds, any black derived policy or idea – CRT is a good example – just can’t stand on its own without the WL (white liberal) seal of approval. That is why the BLM marches were often half populated with white liberal women, beta males and angsty teenage social justice club members - they aren’t warriors because they are so immature, they really don’t know what they believe, their friends are angry, so they think they are supposed to be angry, too.

All you must do to be considered a ward of the Democrat Party and enjoy the promises of a cornucopia of benefits, is to pledge your vote to the Jackass Party. That’s the price of admission.

Of course, blacks don’t need Democrats to succeed. Once black Americans figure that out, they tend to become Republicans, and often conservative Republicans. Asians have succeeded so well without the Democrats, Dems called then “white adjacent” when feeling charitable and white supremacists when not. Asians often face quotas at major universities, especially those in the Ivy League because they don’t factor their race into their success equation.

F.A. Hayek noted in Road to Serfdom that the old Soviets tried to stifle any minority who retained any inclination to criticize because public criticism or even expressions of doubt had to be suppressed because they tended to weaken support of the regime. Any public expression of doubt that the Democrats aren’t heroes of the downtrodden, regardless of actual outcomes, is an act of disloyalty bordering on treachery.

That’s why Trump is being punished, it explains the harsh treatment and sentencing of the J6 protesters and why people get called “election deniers” (as if that is some kind of unconstitutional sin, not a right). It also explains the white glove treatment of Democrat supporters from BLM/ANTIFA members to Hunter Biden. It’s good to be on Team Deep State.

Keep questioning, keep telling minorities that they can succeed, keep pointing out the Democrat lies – that is how this pattern is broken. You can’t reason with irrational people, but you can expose them. There are people who like being lied to, but I believe that is an incredibly small group.

We can break them with the truth.
