You may have noticed that as a group encompasses more people, it moves left. The loudest, not the most capable, nor the smartest, nor the best qualified, people at the local level level get moved up to represent the local group at the regional level. The loudest people get moved up to represent the group at the state level. The loudest people from there get moved up to the national level. The loudest people are almost always the people way over on the left. At the national level, they are nearly all way farther to the left than the vast majority of the group membership, who are at the local level. I've watched this for a lot of years now, and there are very few national groups that have avoided it.
The Democrats are a prime example. You probably know some Democrats near you. If you stop and think about it, most of them are fairly reasonable people, but there are some very loud and obnoxious ones. The latter are the ones who move up. The loons are now in charge of the party at the national level.
Lord knows they have more than their fair share of nut cases. But there seems to be a an awful lot of other wise rational people on the left that have just gone bonkers politically.
To witness pure lunacy just go to the FB page of The Democratic Party! The ignorance--and the gullibility is shocking. I doubt most are "Leftists" (REGRESSIVES not "Progressive at all!)--there is a difference between Leftists (ideology-based) and Liberals who assume STILL they are in the "empathetic" Party. The latter are "asleep at the wheel" and haven't noticed "their cheese" has moved.
After the dimwitted dems disposed of JFK, for me that was the start of the end for them.
JFK - ask not what your country can do for you... flew in the face of the Dems wanting total government control and lusting after the power, so naturally they had to get rid of him which paved the way forward for Johnson and his power-hungry greed.
Now the dems have a ship full of nuts, and each one is clamoring to steer the ship, and that is ending in a debacle of the ship meandering all over the proverbial ocean, essentially drifting with whatever current is the strongest at the time.
Although I think we need another abbreviation instead of RID for the current party - RID is too easy to use by the opposing party as in getting RID of the current one!
I agree! Clinton tried to “right the ship” but obviously had a couple of bad flaws that stopped him—a power hungry “wife” and his uncontrolled sexual behavior.
When historian Barry Alain Shain, author of “The Myth of American Individualism,” was asked while being interviewed by the Carl Albert Center of the University of Oklahoma how to define American liberalism he replied that it was “a moving average of whatever was politically expedient or popular.” Needless to say that liberal bastion did not hire him. The thesis of his book is that the roots of the American Revolution owe more to the fervent Christianity of the colonists than the agnostic individualism of English Enlightenment thinkers. Professor Shain is Jewish and therefore cannot be written off as a Christian Nationalist.
Very good analysis, however we shouldn’t give the dems any help in fixing their problems. A fitting punishment for the dems for attempting to destroy America is for them to wander the “political” desert for 40 years. The people should fixed all the damage by then.
