What is happening in America is what happens when there is a group fomenting a collectivist revolution from positions of power and influence that only God knows how they attained - but they don't actually know how to do it because they have never really done anything in the real world. They don't know how anything works.
It all has a live action, role playing video game quality to it, only instead, the NPC's (non-playable characters who are basically environmental background dressing) are running the show (I watched Free Guy with Ryan Reynolds this weekend.)
It is as if the “revolutionaries” believe that as a result of their actions, nobody really gets killed, “stuff” is just found around every corner, and you can recharge your life force whenever you want, and if things go bad, you just restart the game.
This particular "proletariat" only knows about the world through books, newspapers, Twitter and activism, they have a third party view of everything, never having touched responsibility in real life. What they know of the "bourgeoises" is gleaned from 19th and 20th century tomes about the various "glorious revolutions", which by the way, produced nothing they promised.
Don't think so?
Just listen to Bernie Sanders, AOC, any of the Squad, Lieawatha Warren, or Hakeem Jefferies and you will hear the echoes of the Bolsheviks and Maoists from the 1900's. It's the same jargon and sloganeering as was used by those revolutionaries, whose "revolution" led to the creation of the Soviet Union and Communist China.
Everything is academic and theoretical to them, and as such, their actions are based in theory, never in practicality. That's why no program they invent ever works because it is based solely in theory, not in reality and when these initiatives fail, they move the goalposts, simply declare victory or ignore the results.
When they can’t get past Level 5, they restart the game and make the same mistakes again, never learning what it takes to get to the next level.
It is a technocracy that never works as promised because it is all experimentation without the scientific method to govern it.
They will get it right this time. It's just never been implemented correctly. Because they really, really, really, pinky swear, want it, making the same mistakes will end in a different result this time. Those people who tried in the past were just short one really and a pinky swear. Trust them.
“… they don't actually know how to do it because they have never really done anything in the real world.
…they have a third party view of everything, never having touched responsibility in real life.”
Yeah… staying alive in the Real world, and meeting responsibilities with your back against the wall has a Darwinian quality to it:
it hones your thinking and efforts daily, with very little oxygen left to fuel your dreams until you make it work. Out here in the Real world, we never had the luxury of unlimited credit cards paid for by the yield of someone else’s labor.
Our reward for having survived what life threw at us, and building a little prosperity despite it to cushion the indignities of aging was, instead, inheriting 545 self-indulgent, capricious ‘tweens who got their hands on our credit cards. We just have to add their profligate spending to the maze of challenges we must overcome to avoid ending up with a needle in our arm in the increasing wasteland of urban decay.
—(Gosh, could there be a correlation?? The insanity of our Rulers = domestic decay? Maybe we’re all destined for that end.
Life IS a game after all!
The most “successful” are those who can overcome What Our Government Does To Us Every Day, longer than the next guy.
How amusing it must be, to watch the little ants scramble to recover from each day’s challenge! Those who recover, are then set against each other, almost like the coliseum games. And the sooner we’re ruined, the quicker they get to reallocate the “spoils.” Winner takes all! Woo-hoo!)—
Exactly what our forefathers presciently tried to avoid when they established our government
“OF the people, BY the people…” never imagining, I suppose, that future generations would spawn a ruling class of those who know nothing of the people, owe them no accountability (or even truth), and are harder than barnacles to remove once “seated.”
(Remember “Don’t be a horse’s ass, man! I don’t work for You!” - perhaps the only true words, dripping with contemptuous disregard, he’s ever spoken.)
No wonder everyone’s angry.
I too liked "Free Guy". One of the better movies I have seen in years.
