Kleptocracy, Kakistocracy and Negative Selection
Resident Biden continues an unbroken, 50-year streak of literately and figuratively being wrong about every single decision. That is not a bug, it is a feature of a devolving government.
So, this is what it is like to live at the intersection of kleptocracy, kakistocracy and negative selection.
Not really a place I ever wanted to be, yet here we are.
If you ever needed evidence, a president voiding the Constitution by claiming that “no right is absolute” should be evidence enough.
If it feels a little like we are circling the drain, that is because we are.
The Biden administration represents a perfect storm of the corruption of a kleptocracy and the incompetence of the kakistocracy. Penetrating every aspect of America’s existence, these two forces combined are bringing America to her knees. From our physical borders to the bounds of our national intellect, every situation and scenario is met with ignorance, prevarication, and malicious intent.
That Biden continues an unbroken, 50-year streak of literately and figuratively being wrong about every single decision - and covering those errors with finger pointing, blame shifting, and prevarication – is the logical endpoint of a Democrat and Deep State tradition of negative selection.
Negative selection is a process by which leaders, in a quest to protect their own position and power, select minions based on the prime criterion of incompetence because they fear people competent enough to challenge the leader’s power. Since subordinates often mimic their leader, these associates do the same with those below them in the hierarchy, and the hierarchy becomes progressively filled over time with increasingly incompetent people.
In elective government, it stands to reason that sooner or later the Deep State bureaucracy will realize that it is the true seat of enduring power and to avoid their position and status from being threatened, use negative selection to install a puppet leader who lacks the intellectual capacity to realize he is not in charge.
Perhaps the most maddening aspect of being ruled by the corrupt and incompetent is their tendency to believe the citizens are the problem.
We can see this when the Biden administration wonders out loud why they aren’t’ getting credit for the wonderful things they are doing, that they aren’t being praised for beating back a pandemic, creating more jobs than any president ever, built a strong economy, and making America the most equitable nation on the face of the planet.
They refuse to entertain the possibility that reality proves they have done none of that and have made things worse for the nation. It couldn’t possibly be their decisions and programs that are wrong because they are infallible, it must be the people just aren’t buying in.
So, rather than change direction, in the fashion of the gods they believe they are, they attempt to mold the rest of us into their image.
Square peg, meet round hole.
The American people aren’t stupid – at least not all of us are.
We can see the answers.
That grinds our gears the most.
We just exited three of four years of growth and prosperity, expecting the downturn of the pandemic laden fourth to be a temporary situation, but rather than stepping on the accelerator as we went into the curve, Democrat led regimes around the nation kept a foot on the brake, allowing the incoming Biden administration not to let a good crisis go to waste. Some states, like California, are still driving with the emergency brake on, even though we now know the “pandemic” was largely a political creation of the kakistocracy/kleptocracy and masking, social distancing and the vaccines were/are a joke.
Look at Canada. Canada is America without the curbs of our Constitution. Trudeau, true to his parentage, is setting abooot mimicking his father’s island prison.
There, but for the grace of God and our Founding Fathers, go us.
But it isn’t like the Biden Democrats aren’t trying. It is that they are just so bad at it.
The answers are patently obvious.
All we must do is to do just the opposition of what President Costanza and his Party want to do. The most successful aspect of President Trump’s administration was to do exactly the opposite of what Obama did. President Trump just loosened the reins and let our economy run – and run it did. From energy to unemployment, historic progress was made across the board.
Doing nothing is the best course, just getting out of the way is the prescription for what ails us.
But of course, the most difficult thing for any politician to do is nothing. Every aspiring autocrat sees themselves as George Washington was described, the indispensable man, therefore can’t imagine America can get along without their hand on the tiller.
For now, gridlock in Washington would be an improvement.
But it can’t be a permanent solution.
Getting rid of the results of negative selection that has led us to the kleptocracy and kakistocracy will require burning some, if not all, of it to the ground.
The problem with burning your home to the ground is that you have nothing until it is rebuilt – like the Israelites, we may be in for a rough time of wandering in the wilderness until we can rebuild - but the longer we wait, the longer it will take.
Thanks for helping build my vocabulary, Michael. "Kakistocracy": there has never been a more concise nor accurate description of the Biden administration. While Rome burned, Caeser fiddled. While the United States collapses, Biden soils himself.
Everywhere we look, we see State Department failure and "Intelligence" failures. Just as a clumsy cook might hide using the wrong spice by covering it up with lots of other tastes, the Biden administration seems successful in avoiding responsibility for its unbelievable stupidity in Afghanistan by chalking up one mistake after another on the world stage.
People chatter endlessly about the cost of food and the size of toilet paper and paper towel rolls - while the media keeps us distracted and unaware of the fact that Ukraine's war has reduced America's missile defense to the point that it will take five years to replenish the stock. Iran will have its nuclear weapons (thanks to the Obama/Biden administrations), and #FJB will have his thumb up his ass as always.
It's hard to "like" a post that spells out our destruction, but you nailed it again, Mike. As I was reading it, it occurred to me that our only hope could be to infiltrate by pretending to be as incapable as the current so-called powers that be.
