Is there a way to correct a posting on substack? I believe DEFENSE should read Prosecution in this quote. I really appreciate your posts and point of view< Michael. They always provide food for thought and discussion with friends.
As a NY resident for the time being, there are a couple of observations ... 1)the state will continue to lose businesses and residents at perhaps a higher rate as a consequence of this reprehensible action, a cost paid by residents who will not be able to relocate; 2) eyes are wide open now about preexisting NYS laws and court procedures that are patently not in keeping with personal liberty principles of our Republic -- who knew prosecutors had the last word and that the accused need to prove their innocence?
Others have stated one obvious in their comments Michael ... Democrat office holders at all levels of government, elected and not, in November need to be compelled to find another line of work. And Republicans in DC need to grow a pair.
How Merchan was selected for this case is also in play? An “acting” Judge from a pool of 24 Judges and this lands on his docket. Plus allowing the prosecution to admit new evidence in their closing statements without a rebuttal from the defense, crazy.
Democrats must be solidly, humiliatingly defeated in every race.
This trial is not solely about Trump, as you note..it is about the destruction of our judicial system.
It seems no one can yet tell us what the crimes were, no whom was defrauded.
Democrats really are not interested in preserving the system. Their only goal is to destroy it. This trial was a good lick.
Merchan is crazy enough to give Trump the option of 134 concurrent life sentences - or death.

Merchan will march him off in cuffs for the cameras. If they can get him in prison I believe they will kill him.
