I'm a Bad Person
I must admit, I'm not in a charitable mood. We have an opportunity to stop America's managed decline and I want people crushed for what they did to America over the past 20 years.
I've been too "knee-jerk" about a couple of things today, but I don't want anything to get in the way of this opportunity, because it may never happen again.
I'm tired of our society and culture being dominated by the freakshows we have allowed to run things for the past couple of decades. I'm tired of getting into wars we have no will to win, tired of America losing its power and reputation, tired of people shilling for our enemies and tired of segments of society claiming rights to do things because we live on "stolen land" and we didn't end slavery as soon as they thought we should have. I'm tired of black militants and white guilt, tired of Jew-hating radical Islamists and morons who think half of the Southwest belongs to Mexico. I'm tired of the liars and opportunists, tired of the cowards and quislings, but mostly, I'm just tired.
I just want us to be people to each other, nothing more, nothing less.
I've wondered for a long time now if that is even possible. America has gone way farther across a lot of lines than I ever thought. We've had a taste of radical progressivism under a radical racialist president and his mentally compromised acolyte, we have witnessed the weaponization of our state and local governments, and have been gaslit so thoroughly, I believe my ass is well done.
We endured a two year investigation over lies, then two impeachments based on more lies.
We watched subterfuge, trickery and law changes, a pandemic where all the rules were bent until they broke, and a massive effort to hide what really happened in a national election. We were abandoned by even our Supreme Court and when no one would listen, anger spilled over on January 6th, 2021 after the alleged election of a man who was in mental decline and was never qualified to lead even when he wasn't in decline.
Then began one of the most shameful periods of persecution since the end of the Civil War. I believe that anger was used by enemies of President Trump to assure a crisis, and as Rahm Emmanuel said, never let a good crisis go to waste - and they didn't. Prosecutors and judges abused their powers to not only go after the violent, they went after grandparents who spent ten minutes in the Capitol and landed outrageous prison time for them.
Pro-lifers were raided in their homes and sent to long jail terms for singing hymns the the lobbies of abortion clinics while people who openly threatened conservative Supreme Court Justices were ignored. Our national economy was shut down in favor of "social distancing" and masks that never were going to work. People were forced to take a vaccine they neither wanted nor needed or lose their jobs. Thousands of warfighters were drummed out of the service for rejecting that same vaccine - and all for what?
Nothing.
Nothing but loss.
And our friends on the left enjoyed America's pain as they wallowed in self- righteousness and gloated over a program of coordinated lawfare against Pubic Enemy #1, the man they knew as Literally Orange Hitler.
They grew arrogant enough to enshrine in policy that humans could change sexes and genders at will, creating yet another victim class, pursued economic policies that were doomed from the start, and lied about spending as inflation raged. Our border was erased.
Everything is racist, they said. White people are always racist, even when they are not and black people can never be racist even when they are.
But it was always unsustainable. Unbelievably, whatever drug cocktail that was keeping Biden marginally cognizant of the world failed in June of 2024 and his total collapse began a string of almost unbelievable events, ending with the failed 109 day, $1.5 billion campaign of Kamala Harris, another incompetent selected solely for her skin color.
And the reelection of Donald Trump as our 47th president began the move back to rationality and reality.
Of course, the liars are back at it, same crap, different day - but we finally have the upper hand and have a chance to win. The first three weeks of the Trump 2.0 shows how. Bold, strong, unapologetic, fast moving leadership shines light on the path - and I am confident we will prevail.
But I'm not sure I am a good enough person to forgive and forget what has been done to our nation. I honestly do not want to live beside these people. They are liars, cheats and some are simply evil. I do not believe we can live with evil. Evil can only be destroyed.
I'm a bad person, but I want a pound of flesh for what they did - because if they pay no price, they will learn nothing and will damn well do it again when they get the chance. No quarter asked or given - unconditional surrender is their only option.
Well said, Michael! I’m right there with you. And I’m also peaved at those on “our side” who are still taking multiple victory laps and cheering at Trump’s EO news headlines but are unwilling to lift a finger to assure that sanity is secured for longer than the next midterms, locally or federally (especially locally where, as you know, we have LOTS of problems to remedy). It’s a “red versus blue game” for them, their team won, and game over. Time to put away their voter card and go back to the regularly scheduled next sport season bread and circuses. We’ve got momentum now and it should be treasured as a precious commodity. A republic, if we can keep it. God willing!
I disagree.
Neither you nor I nor the rest of us are bad people for demanding accountability for the perpetrators of the myriad malfeasances.
Failure to hold those responsible accountable guarantees an encore.
Indeed, Justice herself demands accountability.
