Human Botflies
The members of the World Economic Forum don't really care who or what their hosts are.
Something about which I am concerned is the disease that is represented by the botfly larvae that has burrowed beneath the skin of the radical left. These are the radicals of the World Economic Forum led by Klaus Schwab.
The thing is these life sucking wigglers don’t care who or what hosts them. If you have ever watched any of those YouTube videos of vets plucking out those nasty little suckers, you will see hosts ranging from kitties, dogs, squirrels, rabbits, and birds all the way up to humans. The botflies don’t give a damn.
That’s the goons at the WEF.
Let me tell you why I am concerned.
I’ve long been intrigued by the “Horseshoe Theory” of Jean-Pierre Faye, a theory which states that rather than the far left and the far right being at opposite and opposing ends of a linear political continuum, given enough time, their positions will being closely resemble one another, much like how the ends of a horseshoe are close to one another.
If you pay attention, and many hardcore libertarians will unsuccessfully deny it, you will see their positions begin to look a lot like those of the radical progressives. From open borders to drugs to structural racism, sometimes it is hard to tell them apart.
It’s hard to jump from one end of a linear political spectrum without being noticed – but when that distance is closed by bending the ends close to each other, the jump is less noticeable. It is more of a big step.
If the Klausites believe Biden is going to screw this up big and Trump is going to beat Biden and the rap, watch for them to start cozying up to the Reason crowd.
Remember when the progressive left tried to sell the idea of a moderate “liberalitarian”?
Yeah, nobody bought that then and probably won’t now.
Of course, it is only a survival method. They won’t stay with the libertarians because they aren’t authoritarian enough and the the ‘tarians believe their stuff. They aren’t in it for power, quite the opposite. The WEF goons will hang out just long enough to jump back to the progressives when the Republicans screw things up.
Forewarned is forearmed.
The "Horseshoe Theory" sounds reasonable, but it comes apart like so many left/right analyses do because (a) it turns into a team sports metaphor and (b) it doesn't have a single dominant variable that is minimum at one end and maximum at the other.
Your car's climate control doesn't have a slider that loops around like that, or that's hot at both ends and cold in the middle. The only single variable that ever made any sense was (and is) the size of the individual in relation to the state. This implies an extra layer of complexity but it's necessary to understand these various questions.
People would like to put the Iranians, for example, on the "right" because they are "religious," but because the individual has no power in such a place, it belongs deep on the left. It's also common to put communists on the left and fascists on the right, but that's idiotic and nonsensical and it's become common only because most of the American education system is run by communists and nobody in Europe has a slot on the continuum for "maximum freedom and liberty."
As for legalization of drugs, that might be a "libertarian right" issue, but it's used by the left to (a) point at Republicans and scream how they don't want anybody to have any fun, a la "Footloose," and (b) because it's useful in destroying families and lives.
Both the Right and the Left want to control others, the main similarity in my mind, and each will contort 180 degrees to achieve their goals, which are based on power, not on principles. Horseshoes indeed. Sad but true.
