Feral Children
The question whether the current explosion in identification of tender age children as transgender is a survival mechanism or the result of operant conditioning is significant and relevant.
Last night one of the local television stations broadcast a report on a teacher/administration approved “walk-out” at a local Salt Lake middle school in protest of Utah’s recently passed law prohibiting transgender girls (biological males) from competing with biological girls in school sporting events.
Of course, the 30 or so students, ranging from 6th to 8th grade (11-13 year-olds), were spouting the talking points they hade been taught and carrying signs stating “Trans Kids Are Valid” and “Trans Rights Are Human Rights”.
They interviewed a 7th grader who went on to say we shouldn’t hate kids who are different and in doing so, demonstrated how little a 12 year-old knows about the issue or the law. Transgenderism is a concept well beyond which a middle school mind is capable of dealing as indicated by the reduction of the argument to “you shouldn’t hate kids because they are different”.
Of course, just as the Florida parental rights law never says “don’t say gay”, the Utah law the Utah law is misrepresented in the same manner.
While these kids have been indoctrinated to believe the law is anti-trans, they are not capable of applying those same standards to biological female students who are harmed by being forced to compete with another student who is biologically male.
The law only recognizes the real differences between male and female kids. Our society has worked to provide equal opportunities for male and female athletes by recognizing the physical differences and purposefully separating the competitions. This is one case where separate but equal is entirely appropriate.
The logical endpoint of the ignorant middle schooler’s walkout is the elimination of segregation of sporting events, resulting in girls achieving success at an infinitesimally low rate in contests of strength, speed, and endurance. Such a change would decimate women’s sports, denying most women the opportunities for college scholarships, a college education and even a professional career.
All because a bunch of adults want to use kids in a situation that is completely irreconcilable in nature to push an unrealistic, unrealizable political agenda.
When the subject of transgenderism is broached, I cannot help but think about the stories of feral children. A feral child is defined as “a human child who has lived away from human contact from a very young age, and has little or no experience of human care, loving or social behavior, or, crucially, of human language.”
Let’s just get this out of the way now. In what follows, in no way am I comparing gay or transgender people to animals, I am; however, referencing my observations of the mental state and learned behaviors of humans when subjected to certain conditions and stimuli.
Throughout history, there is the myth that Rome was founded by Romulus and Remus, two children who were abandoned in the wild and raised by a wolf – but there are many validated stories of very young children who were abandoned or lost in the wild, only to be adopted by monkeys, dogs, or wolves. These children survived by adopting the ways of their hosts, essentially behaving as if they were monkeys, wolves, or dogs.
Several years ago, there was a verified report from Russia of a five-year-old child found living with cows in the Russian countryside – unable to speak and only capable of communicating through mooing noises. She couldn’t eat, preferring only to drink milk.
These stories do reveal two very important considerations:
Undeniably, the human mind is a powerful thing. In these cases, it adapted and learned what it needed to learn to survive – but it didn’t have the power to turn human physiology and DNA into a monkey, wolf, or dog. The children lived as if they were their hosts, but the fact is that they were merely humans imitating other members of the animal kingdom.
Also, just as undeniable, the brains of children are infinitely impressionable, especially when subjected to operant conditioning (reward/punishment) at a very early age.
It is a valid question to ask whether these children, once discovered, were rescued or imprisoned. Should they have been left to live out a life they believed was natural for them, or should they have been “rehabilitated” and reintroduced into human society?
I’m completely convinced those children believed they were wild animals, largely because that is all they knew themselves to be, but most of these historical accounts don’t have the storybook endings of Disney’s Jungle Book or Tarzan of the Apes. Many of these children never learned to walk upright, talk, or integrate into human society.
But to say that because these children lived as and believed themselves a wolf made them a wolf would be a lie, because their appearance and behaviors could never make them something they were not (whether they knew the truth of their origins or not). To allow them to live as animals would require them to be separated from humankind. To integrate them back into human society would require they change to conform with the natural order of the human species. If attempts to reintegrate were found to be impossible, if the subjects could simply not adapt, they would again be separate and apart from humans, forced into living a separate existence.
I am certainly no doctor, scientist, or philosopher but I can’t help but contemplate the parallels between the realty of feral children and the contemporary explosion of transgenderism based on the two considerations I mentioned earlier.
I have no doubt that to a male who believes they should be female, and such a change is interpreted as a survival mechanism, the human mind can adapt to that transformation in the same way a feral child comes to believe they are a monkey, a dog, a wolf or even a cow. It is far less of a leap for the mind to adapt a survival mechanism through switching its self-image from male to female than it is for a human to adapt to being a four-legged beast of the field.
But I also wonder if this “survival mechanism” is also the product of children willfully exposed to operant conditioning from external sources, whether that be parents, peers, or other authority figures. The fact that parents are gleefully announcing their three to five year old is transgender (or even gay) certainly seems to support that the child’s status is being defined by the parents rather than self-selected by a child far too immature to comprehend the concept of sexuality.
My deduction is this: where homosexuality is a result of emotion and attraction, it has a basis that transgenderism lacks. Where homosexuality does not deny the natural existence of male and female, transgenderism represents the complete denial of human nature in the same way as exhibited by feral children.
And like feral children who cannot be rehabilitated, transgenderism is impossible to incorporate into society.
Grooming is what they do to prepare for recruiting. And as Jason Whitlock says the '+' in LBGTQ is a placeholder for pedophiles.
We’ve raised two generations of boys to hate masculinity. It is no small wonder we are producing trans boys. Women are better, smarter, kinder, and ultimately stronger - according to the zeitgeist. Who in the world, given a choice, would choose to be a boy in this society? I know a very masculine guy, in many ways, raised by a single Mom and his sister. When times get tough, which of course they do, he ‘reverts’ to what worked in his family. He gets upset like a girl. But he’s all guy and wants to be successful at the same time. He has not yet learned to ‘man up’ when times are tough. It seriously holds him back.
