DIE (Diversity, Inclusion and Equity) must Die
Ismist: noun (ism•ist) - a person who blindly campaigns against "isms" (racism, sexism, etc.) without understanding the root causes.
There are two central reasons why DIE (Diversity, Including and Equity) indoctrination efforts by the Ismists (ism-ists) in academia, industry, and governments will fail at eliminating whatever particular “ism” or groups of “isms” they are targeting.
An innumerable number of programs have been concocted to transform society by teaching children to young adults about all the evils of America and how we fix it – most of which involves some sort of material means – reparations, exclusion of white people (mandatory segregation), more aggressive affirmative action programs based on race, a true Marxist “from those who have the means to those who have the need” (even if that “need” is based on skin color) sort of social, political and economic redistribution.
And they believe this is going to work.
Or maybe they don’t, and it is just a gigantic grift.
Either way, it will fail.
It won’t end without pain, but it will end.
Which brings me to the first reason.
The Ismists aren’t interested in ending the isms.
All they want to do is shift blame for their issues to a group of people who had nothing to do with either their current or past situations. So, their goals are without end, they will continue to pursue these goals for centuries if need be, but when something is advanced without a legitimate, factual basis, it will eventually stop.
The second, and perhaps most important of the two reasons lies in simple human nature.
Since the beginning of time, humans have noticed differences. The obvious differences are rooted in the basic five senses – sight, sound, feel, smell, and taste. Those recognize physical differences. It is completely factual that people discriminate (recognize the difference) between other people by the way they look (skin color, dress, cleanliness), the way they sound (accents, language), the way they feel (skin condition, whether the are hot or cold), the way they smell (perfume, body odor, breath) and the way they taste (when kissed for example). Those are all natural ways humans classify other humans.
But there are moral and spiritual dimensions to our natural discrimination.
We also discriminate by action and emotion, whether somebody is moral - does good or bad things (or does nothing), and whether we like or love them. These discriminators are of a higher order than the five senses because either one of these can override any decision based on the other five. The lower five are based on physical attributes, these two come from another place.
You might say that observing actions and making a discrimination is one of the heart.
Therein lies the fatal flaw of DIE.
The Ismists are attacking the isms through inculcation, indoctrination, and training. These are all focused on training the mind to believe things like racism and sexism can be resolved by simply believing and behaving in the “right” way. This approach is essentially based on repetition and an avalanche of biased information designed to train behaviors, as one trains a dog.
But the fact is, most, if not all, isms are rooted in the heart. Let’s take racism for example.
Against all logic, some of the smartest, most educated people often exhibit the most racism. The academicians pushing CRT are educated. CRT was the product of two lawyers, Derrick Bell, a Harvard educated lawyer and law professor, Richard Delgado, currently a Distinguished Professor of Law at Seattle University School of Law, and Kimberlé Crenshaw, herself a Harvard Law graduate and a law professor at the UCLA.
What is inarguable is that CRT is based on reverse racism, that “anti-racism” is simply punitive racism directed at non-black people to exact reparations from a society the CRT proponents blame for their lack of success, status and economic mobility.
Attainment of academic success does not guarantee racism will end, using CRT as an example, more education INCREASES racism, rather than decreasing it.
The irony is that since the end of racism lies in a change of heart, the most ardent Ismists are also the most opposed to traditional spiritual (religious) approaches to a conversion of the heart. They have even abandoned the process used so successfully by Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement – the “content of their character” approach that included the church.
The Ismists have worked for years to destroy opportunities for spiritual healing and conversion of the heart in favor of an empiricist approach which can never work because it is aimed at the wrong target.
This is why DIE will die.
Will the “isms” ever die?
As long as the Ismists believe the answer to isms is to just ism even harder, but against a different group, probably not – but there is still an America out there ready to end them if the Ismists can be forced to stop their incitement.
When I see so called solutions being presented to ISMs - it's not a far stretch to find lawyers lurking in the mist. As you have pointed out CRT was created by lawyers.
And that got me to thinking - many lawyers only benefit from others pain, i.e. divorce lawyers, bankruptcy lawyers, environmental lawyers, and on-an-on lawyers. Just look at TV commercials these days and see the lawyers touting...'If you have been injured by...name the criminal/disease/chemical, etc.', then there is $$$$ for you. And of course, the lawyers will take their 1/3 or more off the top of any settlement.
Perhaps Shakespeare was right and the answer to getting rid of the ISMs is 'First kill all the lawyers'.
Marxism in practice is curated envy. As in, we'll tell you what to be angry about.
