I find it gobsmackingly amazing the things the Democrats are trying to resurrect from the dead to use against Trump.
Just this morning I saw the Charlottesville "fine people" and dead soldiers were "suckers" and "losers" filtering through the paid Democrat shills and Biden sycophants on Twitter. Both are slurs and were wantonly and maliciously created by a hostile media, the first was immediately debunked by video, the second was reported in The Atlantic, and to this day never substantiated by any witness.
While Snopes couldn’t bring themselves to rate the Atlantic’s reporting false, they did what they always do when they can’t prove something about a Republican, but really want it to be true – they wrote “While it was certainly possible that he said those things, Snopes was unable to independently verify the claim.”
There was a controversial TV advertisement a few years ago about a dementia or Alzheimer’s drug (ironic I can’t remember which) few years ago featuring a man who was seeing and hearing things that weren’t there. What is happening here is a lot like that – I don’t know if there is a more accurate term than mass formation psychosis or mass sociogenic illness to describe it, or the emotional reasoning of people simply believing what they want to believe contrary to any facts or evidence.
Emotional reasoning is certainly a feature of modern times. Where logical processes begin with the general and move toward the specific, emotional logic begins with the specific and then forces everything else to conform to the desired outcome. Most of what passes for attacks from the political left these days fits that latter model largely, I surmise, because the demand placed on the individual by the progressive, postmodern left is not reason, rather it is unquestioning and unwavering belief in whatever it is they want you to believe – then everything must be hammered, trimmed and patched in place to give their preferred beliefs the appearance of truth.
And that yields some truly absurd situations.
They did that with “systemic racism” where eventually everything became racist, down to being on time for work, working hard, space travel and even math.
They are doing it now by deliberately misreading the SCOTUS decision on the Texas razor wire situation. They claim Texas is ignoring a Scotus ruling, something they have constantly encouraged in ruling with which they disagree, when the ruling had nothing to do with anything Texas had done, is doing, or plans to do and yet the media incorrectly reports the aftermath of the decision, and willfully so.
They have always done that same thing with Trump.
Anything he has ever said or done is interpreted in a negative context – and when they can’t find words to take out of context or twist, the just make things up – often, as in the Charlottesville situation, continuing to push something that has been refuted in real time with video and audio evidence.
Dem Twitter loves to claim Trump is guilty of rape of E. Jean Carroll even though the jury did not find he raped her – in fact, they really didn’t find anything factual, they just hated Trump enough to rule against him.
Carroll is nuttier than a can of Planter’s peanuts and an even less reliable witness than Christine Blasey Ford. The “rape” claim was NOT returned by the jury as fact, but in a subsequent filing for retrial, Judge Lewis A. Kaplan wrote:
“The finding that Ms. Carroll failed to prove that she was ‘raped’ within the meaning of the New York Penal Law does not mean that she failed to prove that Mr. Trump ‘raped’ her as many people commonly understand the word ‘rape.’”
So, it wasn’t proven to be rape, but it was rape – according to this judge in a totally non-binding legal opinion.
There is at least as much evidence that then Senator Joe Biden sexually assaulted Tara Reade.
They do the reverse when it comes to Biden – people are asked to believe in successes that are failures, and that Biden has always believed things he has spent the past three years condemning. The 180 on the border this past week is a perfect example.
Politics has always been a bit of a con game, but these days it is a basic feature of the Democrat agenda and platform. There are just too many things that people are asked to believe are true that aren’t for anyone with two functioning brain cells to ever be a Democrat.
One thing true about con games is they require people willing to be conned for it to work.
There are a lot of people willing to be part of the Democrat con.
"The problem with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so." - Ronald Reagan
One thing true about con games is they require people willing to be conned for it to work. Such truism. Nothing more need be said.
